Glioblastoma Caregiver
My wife, 77, and I learned on March 30, 2022 that she has gliobllastoma. We have no idea what we are facing. Life expectancy? Surgery? Medications? Palliative care? We wish to learn and receive, as well as offer, support to others also facing this disease.

Comforting a Glioblastoma patient
How do I comfort a 24 year old boy who has
Glioblastoma
Stage IV. He has had many treatments. He has a seizure a week ago and he came home and is very angry. I just want to know what to say to him to comfort him. I find myself staring into space when he says something like I'm gonna die.

Was anyone not offered any treatment?
My mum was diagnosed last year with stage 4
glioblastoma
to the left side, whichever came completely out of the blue. She was a fit, healthy late 70's lady who was physically still good when diagnosed, but her speech was sometimes a little off.

Steroid use in Glioblastoma Battle
Good Morning Everyone. I was just wondering what kind of steroid doses people are on for countering the swelling on the brain around the tumour. My dad (a 78 year old diagnosed in October) had to stop radiotherapy 5 sessions into a course of 15 in January after an initially successful debulking. We cut

Best attitude or action to take
I am new to the section, I have recently, in the start of March 2022, had a surgery to remove the brain tumour,, quite large
glioblastoma
, on the left side. I start my additional treatments ( 6 weeks) on April 4th, Chemo & Radiation + Tablet daily.

Other experiences of late stage glioblastoma
My husband of thirty years who is a little older than me and in his mid 60s has
glioblastoma
. He began hospice and palliative care at home in mid-October and they didn’t think he would make Christmas. He has done really well but I am exhausted. The cancer is definitely taking hold of him now.

Trying to cope…
In October 2021, my dad was diagnosed with a terminal
Glioblastoma
. In the same week, we also found out my mum had bowel cancer. Both underwent a operation. Mum is now hopefully all clear and hasn’t needed any chemo. Dad hasn’t been as lucky and now lives in a care home, receiving palliative care.

Decision making of a patient with stage 4 glioblastoma
I want to know if a person with a stage 4
glioblastoma
who has had radiation therapy is capable of deciding if family members can be updated on his condition? What info can a doctor share with the personal representative if the patient objects?

Stage 4 Prostate Cancer, Quadruple bypass, & now a brain tumor!
Still, having been faced with something as scary as
glioblastoma
and even now brain cancer.. it makes me thankful that my dad's prostate cancer has been so "well behaved." (For lack of a better term.)

New here and wanting to share glioblastoma experience
Hi, I am new here but have lots to share about
glioblastoma
as I was the caregiver for my mom who passed on Oct. 20th. This cancer sucks and I hate the way it affected my mom.

Sad upsetting post (new member)
She said it was a grade 4
glioblastoma
and there will be no treatment and his prognosis is weeks. To say we were shocked is an understement! Dad passed away a week ago. We are all so shocked. We begged the doctors for private treatment we had the money but we were just told to wait.
