Exhaustion may not be thyroid related!
Hi all, just wanted to share my recent experience which came as a complete shock/surprise. So, usual story, feeling exhausted, needing to nap all the time, barely able to function. This feeling has been even worse since new year, barely able to get out of bed. Now, I knew I was a poor converter and needed

Genetic testing
I am thinking of getting Prolaris genetic testing and also getting testing for the BRCA1 gene. A doctor friend told me that if the genetic testing comes back as possibility of aggressive cancer, it can influence course of treatment. Thoughts? Am I going overboard here?

My calcium level appears low within bone profile blood tests. Are these an accurate representation I wonder?
Diagnosed with osteopenia after having Dexa scans in 2016 and 2023 and breaking wrist and arm in separate incidents of slipping on ice. My concern is that when my calcium is tested via bloods, it comes back as being borderline low even though I’m taking 900mg calcium citrate per day and ingest another

Percent of range
Since your group likes to go by percent of range could you tell me an example of what makes a good balance on free t4, free t3 and tsh. Should they all fall around 50 percent of the range being used for your particular lab?

Hashimotos or secondary hypothyroidism?
Hello, I recently had positive test results for thyroid antibodies, but my TSH and T4 remain in range, but low end. My doctor has suggested that I start treatment to prevent hypothyroidism developing. Actually I already have many key symptoms and I am struggling to cope. I also have a B12 deficiency

Morning and thank you for allowing me to join the group 🙂 I am here because my doctor has told me my bloods are normal but I’m feeling unwell. I have been taking levothyroxine for about 8 years and never had a problem, I used to take my pill and forget about it. But recently I’ve become tired and

First time posting here with questions
Hello, I was wondering how to tell if you need b12 injections when you take oral b12 and your serum b12 always comes out looking great? I haven't had it tested recently but past tests always come out way over the range. Anyway, I saw a post by @Marz in which she said that she takes b12 due to having

Levothyroxine and Propranolol
Hello, The other day, and purely out of interest, I used the NHS app to read up about Propranolol (P). I could not believe that I have been prescribed a drug that interferes with Thyroxine (T) uptake. P was prescribed by Consultant who was made aware of existing medications. GP has requested lowering

Third fresh failed (6th embryo) 😢
Good morning all Firstly I wanted to say a big thank you to everyone that responded to my posts and shared their experiences over the last few weeks (sorry I've not managed to reply to everyone but I have read your responses). It's been an incredibly anxious time and just doesn't get any easier the more

Suppression of TSH but low T4/T3 levels whilst taking Levo/Lio Combo
A few years ago, my thyroid results were looking a lot better but NHS GP over the last 2 years has told me to reduce my dosage twice (because of the 'risks' of overtreatment). I'm now on 100mcg levothyroxine (75mcg supplied by GP and topped up by myself) and 25mcg liothyronine (self-sourced). I now don't

has anyone felt not great on T3?
I’m on a T3 trial and haven’t felt like myself on it since I started, my TSH is too low for my Endo, who will want to reduce my meds next week. Has anyone gone down from 10mg to 5 mg and felt better? My endo reduced my T4 to go on the trail and I’ve gotten her to increase it back up a little but I
