Feeling really lost and scared.
He has been having Rituximab with
Gemcitabine
and Oxaliplatin. However yesterday his Consultant said his platelets are too low (50) to have the 6th and final planned dose.

Apparently the ureter is being squashed causing a back up so it was a choice of carboplatin on its own or with
gemcitabine
. I have gone for the single agent as gem can be a bit harsh on liver and kidneys but as this is third line I don’t know whether I am going to respond to the platinum or not.

Immunotherapy after 4 months has worked other more chemo any suggestions?
I Had 6 cycles of chemotherapy of cisplatin +
gemcitabine
then 12 days of radiotherapy by end of 2016. Oct2017 started pembrolizumab. Last week told it’s not working. So back to Chemo of
Gemcitabine
+ carboplatin for upto 6 cycles. Are there any other options?

Vitamin E - Tocotrienols
In addition, increasing lines of evidence has shown that tocotrienols can sensitize cancer cells to chemotherapeutic agents such as celecoxib, doxorubicin, erlotinib, gefitinib,
gemcitabine
, paclitaxel, statin etc.

Gemcitabine
I am now about to start
Gemcitabine
. It will be administered week 1, 8, 15 and a rest week. I have recently returned to work on a phased return. Can anyone shed light on their side effects and how this may work. Is work doable? Am I likely to lose my hair again or will it just thin?

Hi Friends: Just found out yesterday I don't qualify for Keytruda. I have been given two choices. Try another chemotherapy medicine (name above) or accept fact that it is time to say adios. Doctor said it much nicer. I hated last chemotherapy as it ruined my quality of life. So that is why I am

Carboplatin and gemcitabine
I will start on Carboplatin and
gemcitabine
on Wednesday. My previous treatment was the Carboplatin and Taxol, so the gem will be new to me. They may even throw in Avastin for good measure. Has anyone been on the carbo and
gemcitabine
?

cisplatin and gemcitabine - hoping it gets better!
Dear All - hope you're all in the best place for you to today and able to enjoy the sunshine at least to some degree. I'm not 100% sure why I'm on the above combo and intend to find out at my next oncologists meeting (as when he told me at the last one it was all such a shock that the cancer had recurred

Emotions & side effects
Hi all I have stage 3 squamous lung cancer & am in the middle of my chemo regime which they have changed from cisplatin/
gemcitabine
to carbo platinum/gem as my heart now has an issue. I can cope with the sickness ok & am real tired. Is it normal to constantly burst into tears?
