A diagnosis! Yipee! Kawasaki Disease, look for calcified aneurysms! (also a question about warfarin)
Hey you lovely lot! So, some of you know that I needed a 2x CABG Jan 2022 aged 34 (very nearly my newly plumbed heart's birthday!) and every Dr/Cardiologiost that looked at my notes/history/angiograms came away scratching their heads and not understanding what had happened or why my vessels were so

Triple Bypass surgery
Hi everyone after being informed back in July that I have severe multi vessel coronary artery disease I was informed yesterday that I need a triple heart bypass. I don’t mind admitting that this terrifies me and thought hearing from others in the same situation may help. I have also been diagnosed with

Hi all like so many on here we all know how our mental health suffers following the sort of cardiac problems we all have. I’ve been told a few times due to My 2 x HT and quadruple CABG all within a month and what I’ve seen at work I probably have PTSD well that’s now been confirmed and I have to say

2023 started on a downer again.
We’ll I thought after my 2 x MI and my quadruple CABG in 2022 I was hoping 2023 would be better and I’m sure it will but yesterday on the first of a new year I ended up at A and E. At least it’s not my heart at least I don’t think so, pain swelling and a lump in my groin, I think it’s an infected lymph

Reason to be cheerful
Obvs a lot of people are really worried about heart diseases in this forum. TBH I sometimes share those concerns ... but in general I try to post positive reassuring posts about CHD and CAD. I'm 63 (64 in a few days) and have been really busy with a nerdy consultancy project. Quite by chance the project

So fed up, after CABG worse off.
I don't know if anyone remembers me. I had a triple bypass on 16th September followed by internal bleeding, severe AF, a collapsed lung and fluid on the lung. Two days after discharge I was rushed back in to my local hospital with a saddle PE, PEs in both lungs and a clot in my heart. These had clearly

Varicose Veins ( Heart Related question )
Just a question Has anyone noticed new Varicose Veins in the leg that the Vein for Heart Bypass was harvested? My bypass was 2015 and they used the vein from my left leg as part of the procedure, I have noticed recently a couple of Largeish Varicose Veins in the leg that the vein was taken from. I

Hello! Frustrated newbie here. Feel like i'm going crazy!
I kept being told i was too overweight for Lap surgery so out of desperation, I took myself to Latvia for a
gastric
bypass
last year. After losing weight, i had a laparoscopy in December which was negative (besides cervical erosion and some free fluid, from a ruptured ovarian cyst).

Hi my husband had bypass surgery and an aortic valve replaced in May , he’s doing great now , has thoroughly enjoyed the rehab plan and meeting other people who’ve been there and done it . 1st question , he has been cut from ankle to thigh on both legs whilst others have minimal scarring , why is this

Possible GCA.
High dose because of
gastric
bypass
. Only got relief at high dose. Been tapering. Down to 3mls 9mgs. then had flare and increased to 5mls.15mgs. some relief. Then the headaches started. Went to urgent care and then saw GP. Both diagnosed tension headaches. Prescribed Tylenol. No relief.

2 years post bypass surgery
I can’t believe how time flies, i am now 2 years post 1st bypass surgery which means 2 years of no smoking. All going good now, adapting to lifestyle changes, still working on the ambulances and enjoying life. Wishing everyone well, for those going for surgery , have faith, keep strong and wishing
