Need advice
Been feeling tired/exhausted for years. Weight gain, cold all the time. High cholesterol - being treated. Palpitations. A lot of these symptoms I have read can be due to thyroid problems. Had a private blood test done. Results are: TSH 3.71/ Free T4 14.3/ Free T3 4.5. I know these are within range but

last Saturday night we went for a lovely Thai meal with a couple who we hadn’t seen for a while. (Since I began my own thyroid nightmare). The lady has had a lifelong battle with obesity, has had a gastric reduction, eats very little and is still, sadly very obese. I can empathise with this but was

for the collective wisdom please: Radio iodine ablation 13/12/19 21/11/23 Mono treatment T4 @ 175mcg TSH below range FT3 5.23 (3.5-6.8) FT4 16.8 (7.8-18) Doctor reduced dose to 150! Without consultation My 2 cents: TSH not relevant still only mid range FT3. So need combined T3/T4 treatment.

GP appointment update
I posted a few days ago and sadly had no replies! But anyway I had my GP appointment this morning. Explained everything that's been going on, showed her my test results, and her answer to that was i will probably develop an OVERactive thyroid eventually 🤦🏻♀️ How she came to that conclusion I do

vitamin results help and advice please
hi there, I posted in December to say my GP had reluctantly agreed an increase in my Levothyroxine from 50mcg to 75mcg following a blood test which showed: TSH 2.91 (0.35-5.5) T4 13.9 (10.5-21.0) He also requested some more blood tests and I asked for vitamin D,B12, Ferritin and Folate as per guidance

Hashi's with a nodule on the last 3rd of gland advice
Good Afternoon, I've had 2 Thyroid operations and I'm left with a third of the gland. I'm fortunate in that it's producing thyroid hormones but I still feel pretty rotten most of the time. Fatigue, bone pain, feeling cold, brain fog and constipation to name but a few symptoms. My recent private blood

early concerns/ paranoia
Feeling a bit guilty taking up space here before I have any real diagnosis. I’m 72 years old and my annual physical in November saw my PSA numbers double from 3.2 to 6.4 and then retested a month later they were 7. Sounds scary to me. My urologist ordered an in-home EXODX urine test 14 days ago which

Good news - After Endo
Well, what can I say? I went to my Endo appointment on Thursday armed with research papers, questions and my stand on having my thyroid taken out or ablated. Quite surprisingly, I saw a different consultant to the previous one I had seen last year, who sent me a letter stating that if I came back,

optimum time for T3 dose
I've received good advice from people on here, regarding vitamin/minerals and optimum levels of, etc, and I recently started-3 weeks- adding 5mcg T3 to my thyroxine (100mcg reduced from 125mcg at suggestions on here). I have a 3-month trial. I take them together at the moment, at around 5-6 am. Is this

Anti thyroglobulin Antibody High
I'd a mole removed from my right shoulder blade last November that was initially feared to be cancerous, but thankfully wasn't so. Since then I have an annoying pain in my right upper abdomen. Have had an endoscopy( am awaiting report but consultant didn't seem overly concerned) had a cystoscopy which

Doctors visit post blood tests
Hi. I have just been to the doctor's to discuss the blood results I recently posted on here. I'm getting celiac test done and he has put me on vitamin D. He said to take a multivitamin to improve my folate level. He thinks my symptoms are down to taking too much levothyroxine, he said I should reduce

please some help here, end stage liver cancer.
Dear BLT people, I hope you are all doing reasonably well. After my story 1.5 year ago about my misdiagnosed liver cirrhosis its kind of weird to say that I found out that my dad was diagnosed with liver cancer today. (he was never a drinker or fat or what so ever, he is quite old though, he is
