Adrenals or Heart?!!!
I had a Dexa scan in January and agreed to this because my rheumatologist said I had had several
fractures
! When I asked if he could tell this from the dexa scan he was a bit evasive.

Dealing with Prolia
If I don't I have risk of Spine
Fractures
. I cry everyday and can't sleep, my anxiety is through the roof. Is there a light at the end of the tunnel. I am seeing a second Dr. on November 24 hoping she will give me different options. Is there anyone else going through this.

Vibrations of a foot / calf massager.....good or bad if you have osteopenia?
Could the vibration of a foot / calf massager help to improve my bones or would it cause
fractures
instead? The instruction booklet does address the possibility of
fractures
for people with osteoporosis. Has anyone had any positive or negative experiences from using a foot massager.

Low psa but advancing cancer and symptoms ?
He had two bone
fractures
and a lot of pain. His psa had risen twice but is still relatively low at 2.5 but the doctor decided it was time to move onto chemo. Since then, his psa has not risen. He is, however, in a lot of pain and often experiencing fever and chills.

Mis-diagnosis of PMR
After an MRI scan on spine she has written to say I have bilateral insufficiency
fractures
within the sacrum which she suspects is due to significant osteoporosis. I have an appointment next week and she is arranging DEXA scan.

Hello PMR diagnosed in Nov 2020 and now on 2.5mg prednisolone and felt I was doing really well, until the onset of hand pain. It started with slight discomfort and stiffness in the morning which wore off quite quickly. Now very painful at night and fingers are swollen. I don't know whether this is

Test results and worried GP!
Have to add here that I have had several compression
fractures
in my spine due to osteoporosis in the last year and as I've lost two and a half inches in height, my stomach is pushed upwards making it impossible to eat large meals. I have a telephone appointment with the doctor on Monday.

Dexa results in, but what do they mean?
Got my results today, (apologies if this post is a bit long). The Summary letter says: RESULTS: With the lowest T-score of 1.5 in the Neck of Femur and Lumbar Spine (L1-L4) this examination confirms the diagnosis of Normal BMD as per WHO classification including ISCD recommendations. Has Anyone Had Bone Cement Done on MBC Caused Non-Displaced Fractured Pelvic Bones?
I am getting evaluated for Inteventional Radiology & Cementoplasty on my 2
fractures
on my left acetabular pelvic bone caused by MBC. It is painful to walk & be active & I’ve read it can strengthen the bone, kill the cancer locally (if any is present) from the hot cement.

How Radiologist's interpret Scans
Compare a Bone Scan with a CT scan ??? I recently had a full body bone scan with contrast. I have had several before this. I always get a CD of the scan before I leave and I also get the report too. I need to see and read the report as well. When I read the report from this recent scan, it said

Go for it!
I’ve been taking it for almost 8 months, best side effects is low testosterone and PSA! Are there others? Probably but is it Xtandi or any one of the other meds I take to fight this disease. Your life changes when fighting disease and it’s about winning while feeling the best you can mentally and physically

Can't catch a break
To make a long story short, after multiple tests and CAT scans I was diagnosed with SEVEN fractured ribs with some having double
fractures
. I was admitted to the hospital for supportive care and pain management and, although the pain is excruciating, I hope to be back home soon.
