PSA testing comparison question
I know that PSA results can vary, particularly if processed by different labs. Knowing this, I do have a question. Quick recap, I completed 20 rounds of radiation at UCLA with Kishan back in April of this year. At the same time, I began 6 months of ADT. Over the past few months, while getting my

Hip pain
I have severe OP, had 5 compression
fractures
, 2 years of teriparatide, now on Raloxifene. Over the last week I’ve had nasty hip pain, much worse at night. It eases with exercise, is worse with sitting and standing.

Vaccination question
Had my flu and COVID boosters on Tuesday. Felt fine yesterday morning other than two sore arms. But when I started running I had no energy at all and ended cutting it short and walking home. I do hope it’s the effect of the boosters. Anyone else got any experience of this?

Just joined the club no one wants to be a member of in April 2023 - can Gleason 9 be cured ?
Doc says that our goal is a cure despite the fact that I am a Gleason 9 with Decipher score of 1 , the highest for metatastic spread. (PSMA PET was negative.) The highest my PSA has ever been was 5.48 in December 2022 and it dropped to .09 with Testosterone of 14 in August two months after a shot of

My treatment was for multiple
fractures
of my foot bones and ligament and tendon sprains. Over the course of a month or so I began to notice a decrease in my RLS syndrome and an improvement in my sleep on most nights.

Should I Start The Scheduled Taper
Last nerve is holding on by a thread, what with the 9
fractures
and all. I don't feel the taper should be started this week. Thoughts please?

WASTE OF TIME
This is what I have to put up with from the glorious NHS. I was referred to see a Pain specialist over 3 years ago, I got an appointment for the fracture clinic, WHY? my foot isn't fractured. My doctor phoned me to ask me why I have cancelled the appointment? I told him the reasons because I have seen

Provenge criteria necessary for acceptance.
Apparently Medicare will pay for Provenge provided we are castrate resistant and metastatic. But are there other requirements like certain PSA parameters and lower testosterone levels? Do we have to remain on ADT while being treated with Provenge?

AF and a compression fracture
Shortly after I was diagnosed with AF, I suffered a compression fracture of my T8 (osteopenic). This reduces the space available to 'house' your organs in the abdominal space. The orthopedic surgeon offered me a procedure whereby a cement could be inserted in the spine to recover the lost space. I refused

Now in hospice
I try to keep posts short and concise so I’ll try to keep this as brief as possible. We recently returned from a 2 week trip to SoCal to visit family and friends. I was hoping to post some nice QOL pics but in actuality the trip was fraught with difficulties. On return we had a visit with my husband

Newly diagnosed with Osteoporosis
I have been doing a lot of research on natural ways to treat Osteoporosis to improve the strength of my bones and reduce the likelihood of future bone
fractures
. It is confusing as there is so much conflicting information, but there is a lot of information available.

Complementary Therapies - Your Experience?
My standard of care drugs are doing a great job of keeping my PSA down, but it would seem inconsiderate not to look into giving them a bit of help. I'm investigating these "adjunct" therapies with anecdotal or research evidence showing potential action against prostate cancer, and I'm just wondering

absorbing calcium
I have just started taking 1 adcal-d3 a day, but it's hard to know if you are absorbing calcium because you read of so many foods that block and leech calcium from your bones, you don't know what to eat at mealtimes.

Post op pain
Hip operation 9 weeks ago. Was told I have a markedly swollen leg. Struggling with pain in knee leg and feet. How did you manage pain and how long before any relief. I guess I expected to be pain free more quickly. Would love to hear from anyone who took months to heal that this can happen and I will
