Seretide v Fostair
Going to the GP today as I have found Seretide has become less effective to no effect in controlling my asthma which to be honest is being a bit bothersome of late.I have noticed more conversations regarding
Fostair
. Wondering what peoples experience is with this inhaler and any side effects?

Feeling wheezy and tight chested but peak flow is high
I increased my
Fostair
preventer inhaler to two puff morning and night but my wheezing has been getting worse. I now no longer have the sinus inflamation or cough but my wheeziness has stayed. The confusing part is I've been measuring my peak flow and it's about 690 so pretty high.

Confused as to whether I should shield or just follow guidelines for everyone.
I'm on
Fostair
100/60 but taking 4 puffs twice a day. Also on Montelukast. I have been on my 3rd course of steroids this year since 14/02/2020 when I was hospitalised for 5 days. Started on 40mg and told to taper very slowly. Have got down to 5mg but PF has dropped since I reduced from 10mg to 5mg.

Coronavirus and Steroid inhaler
I use
Fostair
- two puffs a day - which is a combination steroid inhaler. Do steroid inhalers give you enough steroid intake to compromise the immune system does anyone know? Or is it just the tablets like prednisone etc?

Fostair- benefits and side effects
Hi All I was put on
Fostair
a few months ago - fine for about 6 weeks then feeling worse again. A few days ago (during my current flare up - worst yet and first A&E trip - joy) I have been told to double it to 2 puffs four times a day.

Problems with Fostair nexthaler for copd
I get terrible headaches on
fostair
, about 4 per month, lasting about 22 to 30 hours. Also muscular pain the day after resistance training (quite light weights). Serious weight gain is a big problem too Anyone have similar experiences.?

This post is more of a rant than offering or seeking advice - although please read and offer me some advice for the
fostair

Fostair 100/6
My question is should
Fostair
be given as a replacement for Salbutamol because from what I have read it is more like Seretide which is a preventative, the situatuion we find ourselves in is that there is nothing she can have to help her once she has been given the
Fostair
twice a day e.g. she felt unwell

Question About Side Effects of Fostair
I've tried
Fostair
for a month and don't think it does wonders for my breathing, at all. However, during the the last week, I have developed a partial numbness on the left side of my face and a feeling of pressure on my eyeball, after inhaling
Fostair
. The numbness fades after about 4 hours.

Rant warning!!!
After a lot of faffing on their part, I was finally prescribed
Fostair
100/6 in January, 2-3 months after the whole saga started. No more thrush, and delighted that half the amount of steroids could work as well, neither better nor worse, than with Symbicort.

Dose counter
Now, my
Fostair
inhaler has a dose counter so I know exactly where I am with that, but my rescue inhaler does not. I have just found out that ALL inhalers in the US have dose counters! Why not here? Surely I am not the only one who has trouble keeping track of how much might be left in there?

Pleurisy after chest infection
Nothing has touched it,I was given a
fostair
inhaler because I’ve now got pleurisy. I’m absolutely terrified about getting Coronavirus because of my current health. Any advice on natural ways to clear my lungs would be very much appreciated.

Warning. Please read.
This does not just apply to your blue inhaler but to any inhaler. ( I had also noticed that my
Fostair
inhaler had ‘doses’ left in even though the counter said it was empty. These ‘extra’ doses are also just propellant. Just so you are aware. 😊

Fostair
