Carbomer eye gel
Good morning. I was at the ophthalmologist yesterday getting umpteen scans and things due to taking hydroxychloroquine. I have very dry eyes once the UV starts to increase (usually February so bang on time). The ophthalmologist gave me carbomer eye gel to use before I go to bed and told me to continue

Forteo vs Tymlos
Are there less side effects using Tymlos? What is the difference? Thank you in advance.

zometa infusion, i think that's what my Mum's G.P mentioned-
anyone used it? i think it's an anti resorptive, in place of reclast, and 6-monthly instead of annual g.p then went on to say bisphosphonates (long term?) are harmful, or won't suit my Mum's case?, but i can't be trusted for this transcript still need answers on what the plan is after forteo.

do fractures heal while on prolia ?
my Mum had a scan for possible fracture, had a scheduled dose of prolia, then at endo appointment, endo said she has a compression fracture. every day i find i have another question about this wretched drug, i probably should've called endo before the shot, but his instructions weren't specific.

endocrinologist or rheumatologist ...
Mum's endo retiring soon, so, feeling lack of continuity of care, plus she was after a second opinion, is a rheumatologist worth consulting? mainly a question about stacking forteo on prolia, that's the plan, as Mum had a prolia dose, then endo wanted to start forteo straight away, for at least 9

forteo terrosa pen
there are few if any videos on administrating a dose of forteo. what's the volume of a single dose? are all the doses stored within the pen? it's it similar to insulin injecting?, because Mum will need to be shown m surely the nurses at the GP's will be able to do demonstrate and do the first shot

prolia and forteo at the same time
well last week Mum's endo suggested forteo for 6-18mth, after 6 years prolia, then back to prolia. this was motivated due to possible vertebra fracture, he didn't push it, said to look it up, so i did, i was sort of keen for change, though thinking to stick to what you know, Mum also not keen on

thoughts, suggestions, experiences - prolia followed by forteo, endo said
he is a good endo, very bookish and conservative, clever specialist, ordered (another) scan - m.r.i - as possible fracture higher up than first x-ray taken. he reckons

Forteo & kidney stones
I recently had kidney stone surgery, where each kidney was full of large kidney stones (too large to pass naturally, which was the reason for the surgery). In January I completed 2 years of Forteo injections, and wonder if the cause of all of those kidney stones were caused by the Forteo injections

The risk of doing nothing
, I have a cousin who is 93. She was diagnosed with osteoporosis many years ago started Fosamax and because of some side effects stopped taking the medication. I spoke to her recently about her osteoporosis and she told me that she was 5‘4“ in her prime and she now is 4 foot 11. She is legally blind

AFTER FORTEO
Has anyone taken Fosamax after Forteo with good results instead of going on Prolia? Also, has anyone taken Prolia and not have side effects? all we hear are the horror stories, there must be some good stories. Is it because people who are doing well don’t go on the website?

Severe Osteoporosis - Understanding the scan report and treatment
As a WF, age 60 - the last several years have seen some big health scares / diagnoses: FYI: After a torn shoulder rotator cuff injury in Oct 2022 and PT making the pain worse, my orthopedic Dr finally suggested an MRI. Results did not have good news. He then suggested a surgical repair with "bone

Hylo Forte or Carbomer Gel?
I have been using hypromellose eye drops for a while because, particularly from Spring to autumn, I have itchy, gritty, dry eyes. This year they're worse than ever making my vision very blurred and no amount of hypromellose will fix it. Last week I went to get my eyes tested, thinking the blurred vision
