Asafoetida?
Being on the
Fodmap
and discovering onions and garlic are a big no no for ibs sufferers i think my love affair with onions is sadly at an end. I never realised onion was in so many foods as a hidden ingredient.

Has anyone had any relief from doing the FODMAP diet.
I tried it for 2 weeks and found no difference, should I have tried it for longer? I would be glad for any feedback on this. Maybe I just do not have any willpower

Just wondered if my gp would be able to refer me to someone trained in fodmap diet in Scotland?
Fodmap

My ibs blog
You can follow me at www.mylifewithibs.com I'm about to go travelling in a couple of weeks, which I'm panicking about and after reading the
FODMAP
diet, am about to start this, as after very limited results with medication etc, I think this might be my best bet, so fingers crossed!

Anyone have similar symptoms or advice.
I ate very healthy, ate probiotic yoghurt and supplements, peppermint tea, herbal tea, brat diet,
fodmap
, did have to stop eating golden linseed as it was making me too regular. Worked like a colonic irrigation. Each time I have ate different things on the day in question.

Candida...Horopito & aniseed
Is it not correct that
FODMAP
is useful ESP with fructose because the system does not have enough glucose to absorb the fructose? Confused! Hope someone knows.....

I'm still finding out and my most recent learning is around the role of the
FODMAP
diet in tackling the unpredictable bouts of bloating/diarrhea. If you want to know more look at http://www.med.monash.edu/cecs/gastro/
