Question to help a friend.
Hello everyone with COPD Had a message from a friend living in Gosport today saying her COPD was playing up - they have told her she has the lungs of a 90 year old. She only has a ventolin inhaler - I told her she could up the dose of that if necessary but she does not have a preventative inhaler.

Episodes of atrial ectopics after general anaesthetic.
Dear all. Yesterday I had nasal surgery under general anaesthetic. The surgery sought to correct a deviated septum and remove swollen turbinates. My idea is that if I can breathe easier, I can sleep better, and this would be good for my heart. The surgery appears to have gone well, though I am now

Inhalers & Apnea
Inhaled corticosteroids such as fluticasone may quell the symptoms of asthma, but a recently published University of Wisconsin-Madison pilot study suggests that in some people, these inhaled drugs make the throat and tongue more floppy, promoting sleep apnea. New Combination Inhaler
My wonderful Asthma Nurse (though she's not actually one), but she's the one I've seen the most for my reviews. She's just put me on Fluticasone 250mcg/Formoterol10mcg inhaler to see if this one makes any difference. Though she notices that my PF dips during the late part of the week, and can really

Moon face woes
Since being diagnosed with adrenal failure in March, I've been on hydrocortisone daily. Initially it was 20mg/day and I've now reduced it down to 10mg/day. I also take Seretide, was 250/50 x 2 puffs am/pm. Now I've been able to reduce that down to 1 puff am/pm because my lung function is so much better
