Long term
Long term, let me say that again. Long term. Your entire life, at least the rest of your long life. Until the day “YOU” are pronounced dead. Your heart stops beating and there is no brain activity. That long term. Do I make myself clear? Have these words shaken your core, resonated with

14 year old daughter starting Ocrevus
I am looking for any experience/advice about how badly Ocrevus could kick a person's immune system and what I should do to prevent sickness? I've read all the literature, searched the internet endlessly & then some. My 14 year old daughter starts on it next Monday, April 15th. She was supposed to start

Neuro appointment
I saw my neuro on the 11th of February. Had to double our driving time due to a snow storm. He’s pretty happy with where things are. We only adjusted the time of day I take my second dose of ampyra. Interestingly, I asked him his go to med if I just can’t stand taking Rebif anymore. (I don’t have side

Hello!! I was diagnosed with MS in 2012. The journey has been tough!! The Christmas in 2017 I was very ill. I turned to the MS Society and they were terrible. Has anyone experienced this type of treatment from them?? Thank you all for supporting me through this time!! This site made me feel less anxious

Totally lost, no real definitive proof
I am 47, I have APC METS, G9. No cancer found outside of the prostate yet. I’ve been on Lupron, Zytiga, FLOMAX, and Steroids for 4 months. I am at the crossroads of choosing surgery to remove the prostate and known lymph’s affected by Cancer or do radiation. I have talked to 6 different doctors and I

Which med???
Am currently on Rebif. Has been my med since diagnosis 8 years ago. After discussion today with my new neurologist, will most likely be changing. What are your experiences with Ocrecus, Tysabri, Tecfidera, or Gilenya?? I think I am leading toward Tecfidera but still researching and contemplating

Topsy-turvy
I was an active kid in school. I topped my convent school of 1500+ students in my high school - Tenth standard. I played all games and sports. You name it and I played it. Excellently. I gained 91.2% in 12th class too. I passed my Engineering in ECE department with distinction too. My team won

Making a choice, which Disease Modifying Therapy?
Okay, that is a fair enough question. Back in the day, there was only the A B C's to choose from. Actually where I lived there was only the B so it was pretty easy to decide. Doing nothing has never been an option. Really it has never occurred to me to do nothing. Besides my two biggest influences

Mucuna Pruriens and Excessive Urination
I am taking Mucuna Pruriens in concert with EGCG (Decaffeinated) and Quercetin. I always have to stay near a bathroom for 45-90 minutes after I take it to make frequent (every 10-20 minutes) trips to the bathroom. Is the Mucuna a diuretic? Anyone else experiencing this problem? It really messes up

Rebif Rebidose
Welcome to the club I am currently taking Rebif Rebidose as well and every now and then those are the symptoms flu like symptoms but as time progresses they’ll go away. I’m just tired of all the red marks all over my body from the injection sites But so far it is the best drug without any drug interactions

Ok I am Done!
I cant keep taking these rebif injections— I see my neurologist on tues for a check up. (Not the Ms specialist- I am waiting for the referral) I don’t feel like they’re working for One and two— I feel awful EVERYTIME for 12-24 hours. So if MS isn’t bad enough there’s the flu like symptoms and as soon

Rebif and liver problems?!
I started Rebif shortly after my diagnosis, and had side effects during the whole tri pack. I kept my neurologist informed of all my side effects including headache, intense stomach pains and severe itching. We did bloodword once I worked all the way to the 44mg and came back with elevated numbers and

Update to my treatment & A question
Recently switched Treatment center to A small Huntsman affiliated clinic in Rexburg Idaho. The first thing they did was to order an Auxuman Scan and the results were so good they stopped my ADT2 treatments to try & help my QOL and energy level. The statement from the scan read “mildly increased metabolic

Flomax and orthostatic hypotension
I have been on Lupron now for 4 months and Just completed my five treatment SBRT radiation. I started Flomax a little more than a week ago and stopped three days ago because of the fairly rare but documented side effect of orthostatic hypotension— starting anytime I moved from a prone or seated position

Persisting burning sensation and fatigue following LDBT
My husband has now hit the 10 days mark of this low dose brachytherapy. A total of 114 seeds were implanted in his prostate. He initially experienced frequent urinary trips to the bathrooms which were resolved by taking two Flomax a day. Now that his trips to the bathrooms have been greatly reduced,
