I was at work and was taken to hospital.. they kept me in for 24hours.. thinking it was my heart.. it wasn't... I then had

Coronary artery spasms
Hi has anyone been diagnosed with a heart murmur and coronary artery spasms? I had a sudden heart attack two years ago and had stent put in. Since last January I've had unstable angina - the pain was every day, and I was using my gtn spray every day as often as four times a day, and I would get angina

Non-PCa Prescription Drugs: Nitroglycerin
[1] Hypoxia (low oxygen). On the face of it, when a tumor outgrows its blood supply, it should be at a severe disadvantage. However, when cells do not get the oxygen they need, they induce HIF1alpha (Hypoxia Inducible Factor 1alpha). When that happens, a PCa cell becomes almost impossible to kill

What to reintroduce first - T4 or T3?
Need some advice, please? After the glycerol trinitrate bum cream debacle, that has left me feeling not quite right even now, 10 days later, I stopped all thyroxine supplementation from Friday morning last. You see, from a pulse rate of between 60-65 and a BP that was around 110/75, after using the damned

Got to do something about my anger at ... doctors.
I cannot believe that I have put up with this for the last 8 years, since my really nice and on-the-ball GP left the practice. Yesterday I went to the appointment with the GP, Iron Knickers, that I had had to book 3 weeks ago after waiting online at patient.emissaccess (online booking) for her next tranche

Foods/Supplements-Vitamins: Arginine - Nitric Oxide
Nalakrats wrote a number of things that I disagree with. Here is one of them: "Cancer cells hate oxygen" Such statements are usually followed by a reference to Otto Warburg who won a Nobel in 1931. i.e. it must be true. (Poor Otto is usually misquoted, but his view that hypoxia is the cause of cancer

Angina and brittle asthma
Last Friday I had to be nebullised and was given Prednisolone. I am used to this so I wasn't too anxious. However then I needed nebullising again on Saturday and the Prednisolone didn't really start to work until Sunday. I am used it working more quickly than that. Then at 2am on Monday I had my first

Newbie to AF needs advice, please
I am a 70 year old, fairly fit male. I had a stent fitted Oct 2013, followed by a balloon in Feb 2014 (both LAD). I carry a GTN spray for occasional use for angina. Diet & exercise routine good - I use my local gym twice a week and cycle. Until 5 weeks ago, I felt on top form. But, whilst on

Joe O'Connell asked "what is oxy dhq ?"
Beware of those who cite Otto Warburg in their opening sentence. Oops! Warburg (1883-1970) was awarded a Nobel Prize in 1931. He believed that cancer was caused by "the replacement of the respiration of oxygen in normal body cells by a fermentation of sugar." [Wiki] This is paraphrased across cancer

Hi all just an update following my prev post, after spending all day at the hospital I got told its a virus and to let things take its time, the doctor was very rude, she had only one set of observations done on arrival as she didn't appear as an ill child. IBS ESSENTIALS
I did something like this a while ago and it seemed to really help a few people so I thought I'd update, basically here are my essentials for coping with IBS (I have IBS-C but a lot of these will help sufferers of D too) - Peppermint tea - Ginger tea (for nausea), I particularly recommend the Ginger

The end of my father's PSP journey.
My father, Duncan, died on Saturday aged 91. He was ready to leave his frail body and PSP and as a man of faith to move on to a so much better place. He stopped being able to swallow even tiny bits of thickened liquid 8 days before he died. His carers kept his mouth comfortable with lemon glycerine swabs

Vaping to quit smoking
I have seen quite a few posts over the last several months of people asking about vaping. Some think they vape too much and others aren't sure about vaping. I vape and have vape through most of my "quit time". It helped, and still helps, me not smoke. There are times, even now, that I want a cigarette

Glycerine supposotories
Can anyone answer whether glycerine supposotories remove stool only in the rectum or if they trigger more to come down from the colon? I have rectal intussecuption which causes me to incompletely empty. I use these and it just seems I am never clear of stool. Thanks
