Here We Go Again?
As I write this my heart feels heavy accompanied by a dull ache and a small 'buzz' every so often. If it follows its normal progression it will start to feel squeezed during the next 24 hours & as though it has over done it at the gym and now feeling sore. This combination has seen me in A&E over 5

I have CMVA 2 years now- never needed GTN. I was on holiday in July , ordering lunch at a beach restaurant feeling fine, and suddenly just felt like I was about to leave this world…. At hospital got checked out and told all was ok and treated for fainting episode. When I read through my blood results

Ranexa 375 mg prolonged-release Tablets \ Ranolazine 375 mg. Has anybody had any adverse effect from this medication.
My angina has recently become unstable. I did encourage my to GP to increase my dose of Ranolazine 375 mg to 500 mg. This caused continuous severe angina to such an extent I had to go to A & E, as having a good three double blasts of my GTN spray no angina relief had happened. A few hours later, after

Trying to make sense
Short background, edited to clarify - 2 months ago exactly I ended up in A&E with chest pains... blood tests showed elevated troponin levels so was treated for a heart attack (although they were fairly certain this wasn'tthe cause of my symptoms) and monitored for 72 hours. ECGs and echo all clear.

Vasospastic angina - remission?
I was diagnosed in 2018 after 7 years of symptoms. It was always unpredictable, but triggers appeared to be changes in temperature and stress. I was medically retired because of it in 2020 because my employer wouldn't offer the reasonable adjustments I needed (no lone working basically). I realised

CAS / Prinzmetal
In May 2020, I was fitted with a pacemaker and two stents and although they were successful, I have been loosely diagnosed with CAS / Prinzmetal angina - coronary artery spasms. I call it a nocturnal angina - it wakes me up at night and I use GTN medication. Is anyone on here who has been diagnosed

Does anybody here take Isosorbide Mononitrate 60 mg twice a day ?
Had a 3 X CABG 7 years ago, I’m now a 64 years old, male. Everything since then has been fine, until recently, as I've now started to get angina attacks in the early mornings whilst asleep, and if I exert myself (like walking to the shops). I had to go to A&E when using my GTN spray did not work on

stents for the elderly
Dad had a heart attack back in January. He's 88 yrs old. While in hospital he was offered to take part in a trial and have stents placed. He hadn't much time to think about it but decided not to have it done considering the risks attached. Following a reasonable recovery he's now started suffering tiredness
