Help with blood results please
My Daughter has just had some blood results and I would be grateful if you could advise on them. I know I should be able to help having had a TT nearly 20 years ago and I have previously received invaluable help from members. But my cognitive abilities have declined and I cannot even remember how to

Stress and Anxiety
Hello I have been feeling very anxious and stressed last 3 months; I started a new job 6 months ago so lots to learn and very busy, but don’t think it is causing me the heart racing anxiety I have been feeling (which I have never experienced before). I take 75 mg Levothyroxine and was due to do test

CHRONIC INSOMNIA
My last test results from May 2024 below. I’m supplementing iron, folate, vitamin C, vitamin D, b12 injections, selenium, zinc, just started B complex (first time in years). I use melatonin & magnesium glycinate at the elusive bed time. I should be mid to optimal in vitamin levels. In June 2024 I increased

New labs came back and MD appt this week
Hi! I’m from the states and having been reading your blog to get good info which I appreciate. Also have a shortage of endos in my area and they focus on DM. Can someone look at my labs and give feedback? I am still having a lot of muscle joint pain and fatigue. I have been taking b12 shots now on drops

Intrinsic factor
I seem to be at a sticking point with the findings of the intrinsic factor test. This is due to the way they now interpret the test results. My test result was Au/ml 1.63 ... Which I jumped with joy over as I thought "at last, this proves I have been telling the truth". How wrong I was. It is no longer

Iron problem?
Hi,I have a low iron saturation - latest blood tests show range = just out (low side). Apologies I haven't got details atm. Although I do supplement with iron it's obviously not enough? I'm not too sure regarding Folate and Ferritin? What exactly do I purchase? Love to you all

Can this be the start of hypothyroidism?
My friend , who has no diagnosis of thyroid issues, had had bloods done by a functional medicine practitioner and was told their free t3 and free t4 are suboptimal and "need to be observed for any further deterioration ." The results they were given are as follows( ranges given in brackets ); Tsh

Overmedication question
Hi all, I have been feeling really weird over the past couple of weeks and I wonder if I'm overmedicated. I take 100mcg levo daily following hemithyroidectomy in Dec. I had been feeling much better since starting the tablets in March. But over the past few weeks I've had hot sweats, very easy to lose

Background I was diagnosed with PMR in June 2024. Fortunate in having very supportive GP who quickly started me on 15 mg Predisolone which brought about dramatic improvement. Dose has been reduced to 14 mg after 1 month. GP plan is to reduce by about 1mg a month, depending on monthly blood test results

Could anyone tell me the benefit of having both TT4 and Free T4 tested please…just looking at differences in tests and prices please?
Hi, I won’t repeat the question, just wondering if anyone could give me an idea on this please. Obviously a bit of difference between the pricing of the two tests I’m looking at and not sure how helpful that info could be? Im not on anything for thyroid, but tsh has been up and down in past so I keep

Thyroid issues
Hi. My TSH levels have been 0.02 for over a year, yet T3 and T4 have been in the normal range.I have chronic fatigue, reason I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism 20 years ago, and they have reduced my Levothyroxine to 75mg now. I am so concerned that this is going to cause my fatigue to get worse.

positive pregnancy test - natural !!
I’m in shock. Did a first response test this morning cycle day 23 and it’s positive. I don’t want to allow myself to get excited because of the huge odds of it being genetically abnormal and miscarrying 🙃 especially with the high levels of DNA frag. I’m also worried it’s just going to delay treatment

confused
I’ve been on thyroxine for 50 years and for last 30 years reasonable stable on 1.25 a day. I do have a medichecks test every year. I don’t have high antibodies . A few years ago I was waking in the night chocking and mri showed my thyroid gland had all but disappeared, with a small part of what was left

New here and worried
Potted history. Regular wine drinker. Bottle a night, but recently cut down to 0 since 4 weeks. Have had history of RUQ pain, but it came and went. Has been constant for a month now. Also get lower pelvic pain. I had a hysterectomy with retained ovaries in 2014. I also have lupus and a carrier of haemochromatosis
