Hot and swollen feet
Good afternoon. Can anybody help please. I have AF and high blood pressure. I take Amlodipine, Bisoprolol, Digoxin, Apixaban, Simvistatin and Lansoprazole (the latter for acid reflux which after reading all your posts, am seriously considering trying to come off it as I have been taking it for years

Ranexa
Does anyone here take ranexa? If so what if any side effects do you get? I read he leaflet and it's scared me to death. The cardiologist refused to see me about severe breathlessness and is guessing at angina although I get no pain at all, it doesn't happen if for example I dig the garden but if I

I am a 64 year old woman and I was diagnosed with PBC in 2012. I had high LFT's and it was confirmed with a liver biopsy. I was put on URSO and my LFT'S came down. About 2 years ago my numbers went way up. I have been very fortunate as I don't experience the itching or extreme fatigue. My gastroenterologist

Cholesterol medicine.
Over a year ago I had a sizable kidney stone. My left kidney is about 1/4 function and doctor feels stone had been in there awhile causing damage. 6 months ago my gfr was 39 for my 1 and 1/4 kidney. Changed cholesterol medicine because it wasn’t making much difference. Today cholesterol numbers are amazing

Cholesterol Meds, to take or not to take?
Hi everyone, I'm new to this site and wish everyone the best they can be. I had a doctor previous to the one I currently have. Apparently, when I had a fall 9/25/16 and fell on my face, I had to go to the emergency room as I hurt my neck. Tests/Xrays were taken. I was not informed of the diagnosis, therefore

Interaction
I've seen in somewhere that simvastatin and fenofibrat is an interaction. Is that true?

Statins v Fibrates
Anyone tried Fibrates? I am one of the many who can't tolerate statins and my GP gave me Bezalip Mono a slow release fibrate which I took for a few months without any issues. Went for a test and my cholesterol was 5.5 and my GP wanted it lower so changed me to Fenofibrate. Upshot was the old backache

High Cholesterol, High Triglycerides, High Blood Pressure and Atherosclerosis: A Potential Remedy?
PWPs seem to have a myriad of health issues in conjunction with PD. Four very common ones are atherosclerosis (AS), high blood pressure (HBP), high triglycerides (HT) and high cholesterol (HC). Wouldn't it be great if there were one supplement that could potentially treat all four problems at the same

Juat diagnosed a few days ago..
Hi all. I will explain what I have been told so far, it's not a lot, and see if anyone can give some hints and tips! I am 38 and suffered a heart attack when I was 33. It was very out of the blue as I am very fit and had no health issues prior. The left side of my heart is damaged and I have been on

Has anyone had trouble with different brands of medication
Since 2006 I have suffered from Hashimotos. About two months after I started taking Levothyroxine (in increasing dosage until the level was right) I had horrendous eyelid swelling...so bad I thought I was losing my sight when in fact, the lids had swelled right down over the eyes. I naturally thought

Atorvastatin and anxiety update
Hi, I posted three months ago about having symptoms of anxiety and depression (excessive sweating, loss of appetite, diarrhoea, weight loss, bad dreams, restlessness at night) that I thought might be linked to Atorvastatin. I had been switched from Simvastatin (which I don't think caused any side effects

Off label medication - how to choose
Ian Frizzels recent vlog about his MP's intervention regarding the prescription for Exanatide inspired this post. I hope he contributes. It's unashamedly selfish. Having tried to establish DIP on first diagnosis, I switched to research for disease modifying "new hopes" after the DATscan. My dilemma

Why I want to research active microbiome therapies for Parkinsons
Why I think the microbiome is key (Stick with it – links to poo coming up…) Having been diagnosed with PD, and offered regular Sinemet therapy, I resolved to look for alternatives and hope for a cure. Dopamine – whilst central to PD and effectively the definition of the disease, appears to be only part
