Side effects of simvastatin and clopiderol

I have been on clopiderol for 6 weeks now and had to up my simvastatin to 20mg 2 weeks ago and feeling horrible. Bad stomach tired, low mood, awful sicky headache today.. anyone else like this and does it get better?

Hello and welcome to the forum! Clopiderol is more known for causing an upset stomach and headaches. Simvastatin is more usually associated with muscle aches. Six weeks is a longish time. I would suggest you have a chat with your GP.

If you have trouble getting a GP appointment to discuss it you could speak to a pharmacist whilst you're waiting. They seem to have a much better idea of drug reactions.

I was on clopidogrel and had really bad side effects - after having 2nd HA and needing stents I was put on Ticagrelor 90mg with 80mg avorstatin - I do get pains which I assume is from statins - but needs must!

No problem with simvstatin but discovered after II came off copidogrel two weeks ago that it was that that had caused severe constipation.

I'm on 80 mg of simvastatin for years and have had no side effects...
