Ibrutinib - 8 months on
I am
FCR
refractory and 11Q deletion. I also have bi-lateral pleural effusions. Initially, my white blood counts roared up as the lymph nodes were being cleared. This coincided with my lung fluid getting a lot worse so that I was hospitalised as I was quite ill just before Christmas.

Do FCR trials ever end early when the results are very favorable?
I was really hoping to get into the former arm but ended up on
FCR
arm.

FLAIR Trial - ErnieUK More Dehydration Round 5 FCR
So round 5 chemo all done, and the sobering thought that you can generally only have
FCR
once in a lifetime now. With the delayed dehydration into day 7 I didn’t get a day off before starting the G-CSF injections that day, for a course of 7 days of jabs.

BLOOD COUNTS
Starting
FCR
next week and wondering just how BAD my blood count is - I have just taken sight of this today so being a bit vague about things just want to know whereabouts I would fall - I was on watch and wait for about 8 years WITHOUT knowing it UNTIL I was officially diagnosed just over a month ago

sinemet cr
I'd like to hear from those who have tried sinemet cr. I just started taking it this week along with regular sinemet and amantadine and it seems to be helping a great deal.

COPING STRATEGIES for living better with CLL - Part 3 - some extra tips for making good use of "Watch and "Wait"
It should mention your immuno-compromised status, and if you’ve ever had Fludarabine (part of
FCR
treatment), it should explain that any blood transfusion you’re given, must be
IRRADIATED blood.

The future for CLL?
Meanwhile it is encouraging that the old gold standard of
FCR
may be curing some patients that have the right markers; a 6 month course and no more CLL treatment for the rest of your life! Neil Photo: A young Australian magpie - easily identified by the light grey downy breast feathers.

FCR or FR? Which is better?
Hi, everyone and Chris, In Canada, tbe treatment is FR is major, not
FCR

FCR
is more effective than FR ? Miee

Ibrutinib and Atrial Fibrillation
Ibrutinib was prescribed under the Named Patient Scheme following the failure of 4 cycles of
FCR
, 6 cycles of R-CHOP , 4 cycles of R-Bendamustin and 3 cycles of mega dose steroids all administered over a 2 year period. Ibrutinib was my last chance.

Neutropenia after chemo
We are 10 months after 6 cycles of
FCR
. Oncologist rather grimly speculating his bone marrow may not recover. So very very discouraged. He has had shots of neulasta in the past and responds well to it, will have another next month. Not a long term solution.

11q Deletion - Starting First Treatment Via Trial
I have signed up for a clinical trial that will offer me either
FCR
or Imbrutinib. The Arm will be computer selected. I am obviously nervous about
FCR
and had hoped to avoid chemo. That may not be an option. Having 11q deletion is a concern for me as to how well I will respond and for how long.

lung issues following fcr
Does anyone have experience with lung problems following
fcr
? My husband completed 6 cycles of
fcr
last April. Since has been ill three times with lung "infiltrates" and has had chronic cough. It is back again with a severe cough and lungs looking same as when ill earlier.
