Freeze all round - more waiting!
I have my first EC on monday but will have to freeze all due to risk of OHSS. I feel okay, just a bit tired and bruised from the injections. My oestradiol is really high so I guess they expect me to feel worse after EC. Is this quite common? On a positive note I have 20 follicles so hopefully will have

Low estradiol
I've read that PCOS has estrogen dominance or high levels of estrogen. Can you have PCOS with low estradiol?

IVF cycle cancelled
Hello ladies, I just had my IVF cycle cancelled due to my illness ( sinus infection), everything was going great, I had 25 follicles growing and all were very good size, ready for collection and then my estradiol dropped down by half yesterday ... Anyone had that happen? Mind boggling and disappointing

Amenorrhea over 2.5 years
Hello. I'm posting here on behalf of my almost 18 year old daughter. She started menstruating two days before her 12th birthday. She has pretty much only had a couple hard periods in her life, otherwise, a light bleeder. She started running cross country and track for her middle and then high school

EAU19 Barcelona – 15-19 March 2019 - Low Free Testosterone is an Independent Risk Factor for High Grade PCa
Total testosterone [T] is often used as a surrogate for T status. Free T would be more accurate. About 2% of T is 'free' - i.e. not bound to protein. Blood tests that report total & free T often estimate free T. About half of circulating T is bound to SHBG (sex hormone binding globulin) & is considered

Role of Estrogen in Androgen-Induced PCa in NBL Rats.
New study below [1]. OK, so you are wondering how tall can those NBL rats be? How much a year do they earn? NBL rats are 'Noble' rats. Sometimes an abbreviation doesn't save much space & takes longer to say. MC Bosland has been messing about with rats for 40 years. There are studies by others going

Relationships Between Thyroid Hormones, Insulin-Like Growth Factor-1 & Antioxidant Levels in Hypothalamic Amenorrhea & on Bone Metabolism
Another paper which points at low T3 affecting bone mass density. The context might be particular, but the connection seems just what we have been seeing elsewhere. [i]Horm Metab Res. 2019 Mar 7. doi: 10.1055/a-0859-4285. [Epub ahead of print]

PSA rising. The trend is not my friend.
I'm in a pickle and would like to ask for your suggestions. The following is my PSA history. As you can see it is rising. The quandary is that those of us who have had radiation as our primary treatment still have a prostate in some form. My RO and urologist both said don't worry yet. We do get bounces

Testosterone.
New German-U.S. paper below [1]. Somewhat off-topic, but I know that a lot of men still regard testosterone [T] as PCa "fuel". It's not surprising. I was born at the start of the Huggins era & I'm astonished that we are still living in it. Huggins basically got his Nobel Prize for discovering that

Estrogen level HIGHER after ovary removal?!?
Has anyone else had this happen?!! I had my ovaries out on 1-11-2019 Get this craziness.... at my last appt I asked for them to recheck my estradiol (estrogen level) to make sure it had gone down to an acceptable range after my ovary removal. She didn’t think it was necessary but I insisted. I don’t
