Enema

I went to A&E as told by 111 they gave me an enema, this was last week I’ve had diarrhoea again so tried 3 sachets and all the constipation etc came back this week I have become so much weaker and I’m struggling to stay awake and keep weight on me.

She has been pushed enema liquid into anal path and stool out. But she can not recover from conspitaion yet. Please prescribe my daughter

Next they did a rectal enema, which got a lot of poop out. My son said he felt better, and we went home. The next day he pooped several times, all very watery. I figured it was normal after the enema. Day 2 he had one poop that was loose, but not overly watery. That seemed fine.

So the prescription was re-issued for prednisolone rectal liquid enema. It seems that is also not available and also can't be ordered!

Confused, some say no enema while my doctor insisted I do enema before each treatment.

Had taken movicol night before and then then an enema at the hospital but still not clear enough. Same happened again today so he will be back for the planning scan on Monday morning. He is naturally frustrated by this and worried this is going to be a theme through the 38 treatments.

I had various checks and tests, first in my 20s, including sigmoidoscopy and barium enema x-ray and more recently bowel transit time, colonoscopy and proctogram x-ray however none gave me any answers, although some relief that nothing was wrong.

Treated with loads of laxatives, an enema and suppositories. Seemed to lose a lot of bladder control and kept having temperature spikes every afternoon. If no spike on odd days blood pressure soared! Ended up being some sort of urinary tract infection but loads of tests could not pinpoint it!

We ended up giving him an enema tonight and he literally filled the toilet. The poo appears to be soft and smooth, not hard and dry but with all the medication he’s on I should hope it would be soft! The other problem is doing the enema is hugely distressing for him (and us).

It's likely I'll be having another one then most likely an old fashioned enema that's what it took last time. I'm normally a really positive half glass full person but broke down in tears this morning after 2nd failed enema as feels like I'm fighting a losing battle 😢 Can anyone else relate?? X
