However in January I had an Endoscopy and nothing unusual was found. Does anyone know if it is possible to have a hiatus hernia in the heart? If, however the scan could show the oesophagus would the Endoscopy not have shown the hiatus hernia?

hello, as part of early tests on my upper digestive system I’m to have a gastroscopy in the few weeks to look for damage or cancer, is a gastroscopy the same as the endoscopy? I will be having a colonoscopy in four weeks so quite close together.

Got endoscopy and the endoscope. . 3 weeks ago.All found is 2 ulcers stomach. Caused thy thk daily aspirin . After 3 year on it. Thy took me of aspirin . Now clipidogrel.. also had b on predisonal 3 years. From 15 mg. To 10. But week ago .they cut me down to 5 mg.

My last endoscopy/colonoscopy showed intraepithelial lymphocytosis and metaplaysia of my stomach linings. Any of you experience this?

I had lots of investigations ( Gastroscophy/ Endoscopy which found some evidence of gastritis and an old healed ulcer. At no point did any doctor suggest looking further into my Thyroid.

Tests always came back negative but never had any stomach issues until I was food poisoned - my results were from endoscopy.

It's worth noting that I underwent an endoscopy in 2017, which returned normal results. I'm motivated to unravel the underlying differences between the UK and Nepal that seem to trigger these loose stools specifically within the UK setting.

I promptly quit alcohol and have exercised for a minimum of 30mins daily since (and haven’t missed a day) I went to the GI doc and had colonoscopy, gastroscopy and capsule endoscopy. Found polyps and removed them but couldn’t find source of bleeding.

I have had an endoscopy done which was clear last year but I have absolutely nose dived since my gallbladder removal last august. But my test results are similar to what they have been for years so I'm not convinced the gallbladder op is to blame.

We have not as yet had a endoscopy/gastroscopy to know if he has varices, but he is not got any bleed symptoms that I have read about.

Although biopsy of nodules was negative it is being repeated next month in conjunction with nasal endoscopy which I assume is routine. In the meantime I have had two dose increases since starting on T4 25mcg on 23/12/22; 50mcg on 10/2 and 75mcg on 31/3.
