1 Year Anniversary
Well it's a year since that terrible chest infection cleared up and 14 months since diagnosis of COPD ( CT Showed significant
emphysema
) Dr reckoned chronic bronchitis as well. I've been taking Seebri and Carbosisteine and ventolin which I rarely use. I'm feeling great and no mucus or cough.

Fears for the future
I am only 30 years old and have recently been diagnosed with
emphysema
. To say that I am scared is an understatement.

Hello everyone I'm new to the site so this is me...
The first app he said my PFT showed signs of
emphysema
and asthma so when i though my SOB was from my heart, it could have been my lungs. Well my 2nd year app 2013 things went straight south, no meds work so I'm on 2 liters 24 hours a day.

A Question about Nebulisers.
I have mild
Emphysema
& severe COPD. Has anyone used a water solution in a nebuliser? Our Doctors have not hear of this but the chemist has suggested it as an alternative. And if saline hinders my breathing what about the use of a salt lamp? Any one out there please have any advise?

Does it get easier??
I'm struggling with my new diagnosis of very early stage of
emphysema
, I know I should try not to worry but I keep crying. I've never smoked I exercise eat healthy and don't drink alcohol. I'm 46 with a young family to care for. Will I get use to it and stop crying ?

I need some positive help and advice on the onset of emphysema cause so far all I've read is negative
I've just received a letter from my lung specialist saying I have tiny small amounts of
emphysema
. This is nothing to be worried about and there is certainly no significant disease in lung. I've had pnuemonia 7 yrs ago and a pnumothrax 6 months ago.
