A very warm welcome to you Maggie. cx
Hello and welcome Maggie. I have very severe emphysema so I hope you're not that bad.
hi puff love the name at the moment i have it mild prob had it for years giving up smoking bought it all to a head .hope your day has been well.
i got diagnosed about 4 years ago. i gave up smoking as I was diagnosed with angina and blamed the fags so I gave up there and then. A few weeks later I was gasping for breathe and was diagnosed. Before that I could do all the things that " normal " people do, mowing lawns, chopping wood, even a bit of amateur surfing with my daughters. Frustrating is too mild a word to use !
know what u mean had to give up job that i loved working with old people get bit bored now on a good day but get very tired is this normal to feel so tired that u can't do anything.
Feeling tired all the time does affect me. I try to space myself out and take naps if I need them. I make myself go out most days for some exercise. Your health is more importment than a spotless house. Wishing you well. Joyce
hi joyce thanks for your comment i dont worry about house work anymore gets done when im in the mood your right health comes first
Dr. Gave me the liquid form to put in my nebulizer. I also take the capzul form u can buy on line or heath food store

Hi Maggie just wanted to say welcome to our amazing site, where i'm sure you will find answers to your questions, i know i have been so much support since i joined. xx
Hi Maggie me again. I just realized I never welcomed you to the site. You will be amazed how much you will learn. Was wondering what stage of copd you have. Do you know your fev1. It always makes it easier to help someone if we know more about their diagnosis. I have moderate copd. Fev1 of 60. Still working so far. No inhalers as of yet.

Ask your doctor for uniphyllin it's a tablet you take twice a day I've got severe emphseyma and I'm on oxygen but since taking this tablet I've hardly used my oxygen it's done wonders for me helps the breathing before I was gasping for breath now it's a lot calmer and I can get out now before I couldn't cos my breathing was so bad
