Stiff muscles during Elvanse titration process ?
Today was my 6th day on
Elvanse
. I started off on 30mg but at the 2d day the side effects were too strong and the prescriber asked me to down the dose to 20mg and to extend the adaptation period from 1 week to 3. I'm one of those highly sensitive people.

Drink plenty of water while on Vyvance and possibly other ADHD medication might help you.
When I first started taking ADHD medication I didn't think it was working. I just seemed to have lots of negative side effects. I went a couple years without trying anything again until life got really bad and a therapist asked if I had tried Vyvanse. I ended up having a lot of the same issues and

Mood stabilizer and Vyvanse
Has anyone tried taking a mood stabilizer to try and manage the irritability Vyvanse causes to some? I’m currently taking lamictal due to the moodiness ADHD causes me to have. Just wondering if I can make a good combo.

Through titration I settled on a dose of 70mg
Elvanse
(lisdexamphetamine) that I have now been taking since June. I am 39 years of age. It turned my life around significantly and I am now able to lead a more normal life.

Wow...son with inattentive ADHD just turned 18..don't feel he's ready for the world. I've protected him :(
I've been on this board since 2014. Son was in the 8th grade. Started struggling, tried Methiphenydate (sp) and Vyvanse. Both made him very sick. Didn't work. Freshman year went OK. He was not medicated. 10th grade year was going badly, he was failing. Then the pandemic happened and virtual learning

Adult Testing
I'm in NoVA, was diagnosed in college, was on various meds for about 10 years or so and never got reevaluated. I am working remotely now and recently retried to get back on meds and was told I needed to get reevaluated Short story: Where and how can I go to get evaluated (I do have a medical referral

Do short acting or longer acting stimulants work better for your school-related focus needs?
Hi! I’ve tried vyvanse and Concerta and have found that I never can reach a focus peak with the longer acting stimulant medication- they don’t seem to prescribe Adderall or Dexyamphetamine often where I live, but since I have a tried to take meds around my best focus times- 4-11pm, I still feel that

Dealing with a 6yo with EXTREME behavior disorders
Our son is 6 and has received numerous diagnosis over the years ranging from ODD, SPD, Severe ADHD and mild Autism. He also struggles with Anxiety. We knew there was something unique about him around his first birthday and he has been in therapy since he was 2, medicated starting at 3. We had him on

How do you "break" your hyperfocus when you need to do other tasks?
Hi everyone! I am new to this site - this is such a cool idea for a support group for people with ADHD. I was recently diagnosed but have been struggling with symptoms since I can remember. I am a 29 year old female, and I have read that females go wildly undiagnosed and usually end up with depression

I already take Lamotrigine as a mood stabilizer. I've been on that for 15 yrs. I also take levothyroxine, atorvastatin, and alprazolam. I've been on just about every antidepressant. Dr said is not a surprise I have bipolar and not mdd. They should have ruled that when I didn't respond to anti depressant

Any tips for helpful tricks or behavioral changes for ADHD?
Hello! I’m a little new to my ADHD diagnosis and VERY new to my meds (vyvanse). I just wanted to know what some things were that helped you all be more efficient or organized or happy? It could be anything! Ex. Getting a key hook and forcing myself to put my keys on it the moment I walk through the door

Psychiatry uk then try me on
elvanse
30mg , leaves me zombie and wears off after 4 hours , then 50mg , better, but wears off after 4 hours , so swaps me to i.r dexamphetamin, this at 7.5 twice a day leaves me terribly anxious , I too if how I’m already feeling .

(UK specific) - typical costs of Elvanse?
My parents are looking to help/support but it would be super useful to know what the rough costs of
Elvanse
are - probably 30/40mg as I think the psych said he'd look to start on 30mg. I'm planning to move to shared care as my GP has provisionally agreed to this after titration.

ADHD medication - does the side effects get better?
I started
Elvanse
(30mg) on Monday. First of all I can't sleep at all, I was having two hours sleep and doing all dayers from Monday to Wednesday. My heart is beating fast and I feel SO anxious about my heart I've experienced quite a few panic attacks this week because of this.

Just started Vyvanse. Any tips?
[i]I was recently prescribed Vyvanse by my psychiatrist who seems to think that I don't have ADHD and that I only have mild symptoms of it. I hate to say she's wrong, but she is. My extremely evident distractibility makes it nearly impossible to do well in school which is highly important to me and it

Ashwagandha and thoughts
Ashwagandha any thoughts about it? Our daughter is in Vyvanse for her ADHD and has done really well. She was also on Zoloft for a short period but developed ticks so she is off and not on and meds for her anxiety. Our daughter is high functioning. We are now and currently looking at other options as
