ADHD Meds physical symptoms and experience.

Hi There. First post. I've recently been officially diagnosed with ADD (predominantly innatentive). The psychiatrist recommended Vyvanse. But in the past, I've been diagnosed with left ventricular hypertrophy due to high blood pressure. Since then I've lost a lot of weight and my blood pressure is under

Good news and thank you for all your input.
I can't find out where to write this with my first post because all I saw there was how to reply to myself. Anyway, Thank you to all who reached out. Sharing this experience really helps. I've been doing better because I finally got diagnosed! I was talking to an intern who was filling in because

Alternatives to Vyvance?
Hello, I had posted another article the other day, which has been very helpful. This subject was posed in there but I thought a direct question would help. My son is 27 and has been on Vyvanse 70 mg for 10 years. I know it is not working. He seems to function well at work. He has a detailed job

Vyvanse Hunger and Lightheadedness
Hi all! First post here. Curious to hear if this resonates with any of you and if you've found any solutions. I started 30 mg of Vyvanse a month ago. Have taken about half the pills (got cold feet and felt irresponsible for medicating a few days in, I'm back on it now). First day was incredible. Focused

where to turn
I am guardian to my 11 year old grandson with moderate to severe ADHD. Introduced to online gaming in past year and has started using foul language and is very angry. He is limited in time allowed but still more than he probably should have. He becomes a bully online and has destryed 2 flat screen TV

withdrawal symptoms?
I went off low dose Vyvanse two weeks ago. 20 mg in the morning and 10 in the afternoon. I tapered off per my doctors instructions. I was mostly ok for a few days, but then started having cravings, super tired and irritable. Does this sound like withdrawal symptoms? I’ve been having them for about

Medication confusion
My daughter is 15 with Adhd, dyslexia and anxiety. We've tried Methylphenidate, Metadate, Adderrall, Vyvanse, Concerta and the old patch. These were tried at different ages but most caused more anger, not enough sleep, losing weight and loss of almost all short term working memory. We have not found

Vyvanse or concerta? Med question
hey all! Looking for some insight. I’ve been on Vyvanse since November. Started at 10mg and each month it’s been raised to 40mg. I’ve been able to tell some difference than when I don’t take it, but when talking to my dr this past week, I had shared some of my symptoms and behaviors. I’m also on

adhd & anemia?
hey all! Seeing if any of you also struggle with anemia alongside your adhd diagnosis. Last year I was diagnosed with anemia and it took months to level out. This fall I was finally diagnosed with ADHD, so my doctor had my vitals taken again. Sure enough, I’m anemic again. I’ve shifted my diet to

Medication shortage severely impacting our area
Hello! I've had a hard time finding my daughter's methylphenidate in stock in our area in Central TX but today I've discovered it is nowhere to be found. I have a teenage daughter in high school who really needs her meds to be able to perform well at school & home. I'm really freaking out right now.

strattera guanfacine - would you add a stimulant??
Curious if anyone’s kid takes strattera, guanfacine, AND a stimulant? We see our psychiatrist who we love tomorrow so we will ask - but I’m curious… My son is 12 - 6th grade, 5’6” 117lbs and is finally on therapeutic dose of strattera 60mg. His mood is greatly improved (diagnosed with DMDD and ADHD

ADHD and depression
our 14 yo daughter sees a therapist and is on 10 mg Lexapro and Vyvanse. But here we are again –– she won't get out of bed today and go to school. Does anyone else struggle with this? She did not give me an explanation she just won't get up. She has a 504 plan and the teachers are on board with extra

How do you approach managing your ADHD?
After being diagnosed a little over two months ago, and trying to figure out how to manage it, I've come up with how I'm approaching this and am curious how others have approached this? Maybe what's worked for you and what hasn't. I know we're all different so there's no "one size fits all" approach

Cost of ADHD meds
I am starting my ADHD journey and am quite concerned over the cost of Vyvanse (sp)? and other ADHD drugs. If my psychiatrist suggests one of these, any recommendations on best ways to cut cost on these? I have a medicare advantage plan with prescriptions paid according to Tier. I know Vyvanse is at

Vyvanse - time to stop or reduce?
Hello - I have been taking 30 mg of vyvanse daily for about 6+ years, maybe more. Never increased and always did medical testing to regulate and check med efficacy with psych doctor. I was “4 deviations from the norm” and the medication dramatically helped me at the onset and last years. Recently

Great News- I get to restart my meds!
So I had to stop talking Vyvanse due to concerns with my blood pressure. I was bummed as it made a tremendous impact during the two weeks I was taking it. Today I met with my Doctor who said I can restart Vyvanse immediately as we work out my blood pressure meds. This isn't to say I can just ignore
