Eltroxin

For the last 12 years, I have been given accord levothyroxine, never had a change of brand until yesterday where I was given one box of eltroxin amongst the accord. My question is, is this likely to cause me any problems? And is accord being phased out?

I stopped for two months so they were clear out of my system and had a blood test done he has now prescribed me Eltroxin 25 mg has anyone taken this brand and if so what are the side effects.

The Eltroxin (Ft4) plus glandular supports were most effective and my basal temperature had recovered to normal levels within 12 months.

I take Thybon Henning in 2 x 10 doses and 125mcg Eltroxin My vitamin tests results were all fine. Could an increase in thyroxine help? Would I then need to take less liothyronine? Many thanks for any advice.

I have no idea about the levels to be honest i don’t understand what T4 and all the other numbers mean 🤣 I had a blood test and i was put on a different brand Eltroxin 50 but can it be the tablets that are making me depressed and my anxiety is gone sky high.

My bloods have been good(platelets down to 350 from 1100) but my thyroid playing up and I’m on eltroxin for that 100mg a day. I just had a call with my haematologist and MPN specialist in Dublin and she said she will probably have to move to me to Jakavi due to the interferon shortage.

Endo has me on 125 Eltroxin, keeping me low TSH. He says this is best after thyroid cancer. Feeling no energy and 2 other GP say too high dose, Too low dose. I will stay with the endocrinologist advice for now. but one of the GP said don’t take added calcium. My calcium isn’t low anyway.

I’ve been self medicating with Euthyrox 50 and have run out and switched to Eltroxin which causes indigestion and doesn’t seem as effective.

What do I do to ensure I don’t get a different band every couple of months..my T4 is eltroxin which hadn’t been sent when I went to pick it up. Can anyone recommend a brand that is more consistent? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you for all the past advice it has been a lifeline.

Hi I got blood results recently and I have hypothyroidism which is been treated with Eltroxin 25mcg and I also have low sodium. Sodium level is 134 which is just one below normal range.

I can't tolerate CPAP, have lost several stone and my thyroid is apparently well controlled on dual therapy eltroxin and liothyronine. I'm exhausted all the time snd often choke at night for periods.

However that GP retired and his replacement has repeatedly refused to prescribe Eltroxin on the basis that my TSH is "in range" and although some would say very borderline.

Thus on advice from the amazing guys on this forum, I stopped the T3 altogether and have been increasing my Eltroxin from 57 to 75 and now 100 since May (and have been working on my vitamins).

Hi I have had an underactive for almost 3 years now and I take Eltroxin 75mcg mon-fri and 50mcg sat-sun but have not seen any results with weight loss. I am still fatigued and still picking up weight, almost 30kg's in 3 years which is not helpful.

I have since raised the eltroxin back to 125. So - currently on 125 eltroxin since last Friday AND prescription for Thybon 10 plus reduced eltroxin to 100 given yesterday. A bit of a muddle, but advice would be great on how to proceed.

My situation now is that my present GP, unlike her predecessor who treated me between 2004 & 2009 and prescribed eltroxin (Levothyroxine) on the basis of my symptoms, will not treat me as my thyroid blood test results are all "in range" although the TSH is marginal.
