Casodex dosage
Continuing on
Eligard
. Just started 50 mg Casodex daily to control accelerating PSA, 0.15 11/22/18 to 0.55 2/12/19. Is this the right dose, as I have seen various postings of up to 150 mg? I am pending application for Provenge. Also Olaparib outside of clinical trials, as I am BRCA2+.

**One year tomorrow**
My battle started a year ago tomorrow I was put on Zytiga,Prednisone, and
ELIGARD
with monthly Xgeva for multiple bone Mets. My PSA has been undetectable since first month and other than the usual side effects I feel pretty much normal.

A bit of history - MY advanced, aggressive PCa story continues ...
That didn't happen - so I quit the
Eligard
in July 2018, after 16 months. I should mention that my 'medical team' wondered WHAT is he thinking ? Is this refusal of treatment and/or a slow path to self extinction ?

PSA at zero after 3 months on Xtandi, can it last?
After almost 2 yrs of ADT treatment with Firmagon and
Eligard
, I became castrate resistant and was put on Xtandi. A few weeks ago I had blood work done at my MO and PSA was at 0.09 . This week my urologist also did a PSA test and just called to tell me my PSA was at "zero".

On Eligard just finished RT and psa remained same. Now what?
Had
Eligard
shot Nov 2018, 40 RT Psa done 2-13-19 and PSA is 1.07. So nothing changed with the treatment. Now what? He's now 51. Any similar stories that can shed some light?--

Why I'm here-
Told me it was aggressive and put me on
Eligard
. Fired him and hired an OUTSTANDING chemo Dr. in '16. Had a tat on left Glut "exit" and on the right one with "only" and he pumped in 6 iterations of docataxel. Coming: Part II "The nebulous Dr.(?) Mason and his Bag O' Palmetto...

Time to ADT Failure
I am wondering what the time is from starting ADT (
Eligard
, Lupron, degarelix, etc.) till the PCa becoming castrate resistant. I read a recent post from “whatsinaname” where his failed after only 6 months. Is that an outlier on the short side, or typical?

Just got done with 44 sessions of Tomotherapy on 12/27/18 also been on
eligard
(6 mo) since 8/28/18 had a scheduled lab at the VA on 1/10/18 (unrelated to PC) but they tested T and PSA anyway. psa is 2.36 it was 22+(not bad).. but T is 236. so T is creeping up too early it seems. the

Third Round of chemo
Maybe it’s the combination of
Eligard
and chemo or maybe it’s that each round of chemo gets tougher? This round I feel really rough for the third straight day. I have the next two weeks to recover before the 4th round out of 6.

Social Security
While still on ADT (
Eligard
) I Clearly was still unable to work thus not eligible for unemployment insurance. I opted for early retirement in stead of starvation. At now 63yo, I was elegable for SS at a reduced rate. I am in the 66.75yo group.

PSA and testosterone post radiation
Completed 25 IMRT (45 Gy) and brachtherapy "boost" (110Gy, 39 seeds) with ongoing Firmagon/
Eligard
(5 mos thus far. Btw, hate the hormones.) Most recent PSA 0.1 and testosterone <3. Methinks both numbers are unreliable given continued hormone therapy but who knows?

Fifth year of my battle
I had Da Vinci surgery, 39 radiation treatments, been on
Eligard
since the fall of 2016, Provenge in the spring of 2018 and now on Xytiga and prednisone. What a ride! My reason for posting today; Does anyone else get an increased level of anxiety following the
Eligard
injections?

End in sight for Lupron Brain Fog
(Chemo Brain Fog has the same symptoms) Closing: I made a deal with my Urologist to suspend the
Eligard
and monitor my PSA. God willing the side-effects will subside and the PSA will behave so I can look back at this nightmare as a victory.
