Local relapse after HDR Brachytherapy and EBRT
He stayed on ADT for a total of 20 months, his T was not going below 0.7 so he switched to
Eligard
for the last 6 months. After stopping ADT his T never really came back but his PSA started to rise and got up to 1.9 from a nadir of 0.6. He restarted
Eligard
and they did a bone scan, CT scan.

Afraid to take Xtandi
He wonders if the
Eligard
he started getting and the radiation he will start getting next week will be enough to help his situation. Had a radical prostatectomy in 2004, 38 radiation treatments in 2010. Now his recent PSA is 3.0 and bone Mets in the pelvic area.

Hormones not recovering
Six months after my last (3 month dosage)
Eligard
injection, my PSA level is <0.008 which is great. Unfortunately my testosterone level is <0.4 nmol/L when normal is 8.4 - 28.8 nmol/L. Should I ask for testosterone injections or just be patient?

Update on Jim July 2021: (Cabazitaxel, ?Immunotherapy)
Jim continues to take
Eligard
and Xgeva every 3 months. All treatments are done locally. The 4 hour drive to Stanford is too much for Jim. We still consult with his Stanford Urology Oncologist on a regular basis.

Xtandi positive outcome?
He is on
eligard
and was taking yonsa but it quit working. PSA went from 1 to 8 in 6 months. He just started xtandi yesterday. He had some leg twitching last night for a few hours. Went away this morning. Doctor said to take one tablet today and see how it goes. Is this a side effect?

Androgen deprivation therapy for prostate cancer is associated in increased risk for biliary disease
May dad, who was first on bicalutamide and is on

Burning sensation in feet
Does
Eligard
cause a “burning “sensation in the feet? I can’t tell if it is related to the “hot flashes” or not. There seems to be no correlation between the two that I can tell and it only happens at night. It wakes me up from a sound sleep several times a night.

I have what ????????????????
They gave me a shot that stung like hell called
Eligard
and told me I need to start chemo or some kind of pills real soon. Men in Lewistown don't get this stuff. So now what? The doctor in Billings told me about this site so here I am.

What are your thoughts on Pain Control
Anyway, treatment: ADT ,
Eligard
, Zytiga 1000mg per day, and 5mg Prednisone. Anyway, at PSA 300 I had minimal pain. A few months later various aches and pains. At 6 months after starting ADT I was in significant pain, and chomping down 8 Tylenols per day.

With Supplements, ADT in Prostate Cancer of Little Threat to Bone Density - "Ca & Vit D supplementation alone may suffice" . . . Really????
[/i] Think:
Eligard
, Jevtana, & Taxotere. Sort of the research result you (Sanofi-Canada) would hope for, if you sell multiple ADT drugs, but none for osteoporosis; i.e., keep taking those ADT drugs and a small dose of Ca + D3 will be all you need for your bone health.

Short update
Started
Eligard
and Zytiga with 3m PSA <.02 and T <1. We are starting the radiation this week, 4months and a week post op, as opposed to 3months which I noted in my first post. So far doing ok, hot flashes and fatigue of course, and hoping to work through the radiation treatment.
