Permanent Lung Scarring from Pneumonia
Does anyone on here have experience of permanent lung scarring (in this case caused by flu/bacterial pneumonia)? How long did it take for the scarring to develop or the extent to become known - was it months or weeks from onset of pneumonia? Some of you may have seen my other post about my dad currently

pneumonia recovery
hello all x I was in hospital for ten days from 19/12 with the most painful pneumonia I’ve ever had and all hail to the NHS they were wonderful. My question is has anyone out there any input on self help etc to get back to normal 🤷🏻♀️ I’m so breathless, not wheezing, just so out of breath walking

Pneumonia Recovery
Hi. My dad is currently in ICU with pneumonia (caused by triple whammy of flu, Strep A and staph) - been there 6 weeks, 4 of them on a ventilator/trachy. Was previously fit and healthy - no underlying conditions or hospital admissions so the severity was a total shock for us all. He was due to move

What else could it be
Ive had an on, off, mild, pain, irritated feeling in various places, in my left armpit, for 3 months. Not had surgery, so it cant be an infection. It just feels odd. The same applies to my left breast (various places, I'm a 44 year old female. Sometimes it feels like its on the back wall behind my breast

Constant cough reflex
I just want to find out if anyone else suffers from the same as me, and if so what to do about it as it’s driving me crazy. I currently have a cough which started out as a tickly throat about a week ago causing all-consuming fits of coughing, eyes watering etc etc. But it’s evolved now into a seemingly

URI and thyroid -fighting infection
Hi - I have had the misfortune of some how getting a UTI . I have had this for 3 weeks now. The first urine sample given at my surgery indicated some infection and 3 days prescription of antibiotics given - I have under-active thyroid so I knew this was not enough.. after the 3 days the UTI returned

Flu and BMB
I’ve got this awful flu that’s going about at the moment, had it about a week, previous to that I’d had a slight cough and runny nose, that was starting to clear when my husband started with bad flu (even worse than man flu!) I followed two days later. Neither of us has ever been as bad as this before

Covid, continuous dry cough causing sleep loss and what to do next?
Tested positive for Covid 3 days ago after previous 3 days of cold/ flu like symptoms. Temperature (38°C for one day) and deadly sore throat now gone. Continuous dry cough remains. Kept me awake for last 5 nights. Diaphragm now aching and painful when I cough. Tried all sorts - hot honey and lemon drinks

New Year , and I've Come Down With Strep. Here's Some Info if You Suspect It and Need to Get Tested Safely
So a New Year begins , but rather than hitting the ground running I've hit it with a thud. We had guests for the first Christmas since COVID and one of them had a nasty cough. My OH came down with symptoms a week ago and then I got the tell tale signs a few days ago. So , we contacted the GP surgery

Continuing to take a Preventer during a cold when you need a Reliever
Could anyone advise please. I take a preventer (Clenil Modulate) regularly and Salbutemol as a reliever. I have a bad cold at the moment and need too take the Salbutemol but do I still need to take the preventer?
