Therapy tomorrow, but I feel like talking today
I’ve been on
Effexor
XR
for almost 20 years and was in the process of tapering off, but due to these anxiety issues those plans are on hold. I’m not looking for a perfect life; I just want the anxiety to go away. I want to be able to eat normally again. I want my regular sleep pattern back.

What To Do Next?
I am currently on a combination of
Effexor
XR
(150mg), Lexapro (10mg) and Elavil (25mg) with Ativan on the side as needed. I try to avoid taking the Ativan as much as possible. I've been through four different therapists and three psychiatrists (part of this is because I've moved).

Effexor withdrawl
Early june, my doctor and I decided it was time for me to switch from the current antidepressant I was on (Venalafaxine) to a new one (Burpropion). She down doseed me from the current antidepressant however never mentioned how bad the withdrawl symptoms could be. 24 hours after the last pill, I got

Will Estradiol 0.025 patch for hot flushes cause cancer to come out of hiding?
Hi My husband has been taking Effexor for hot flushes and it does not seem to be effective any longer . He increased the dose from 37.5 to 75 mg and that did not seem to make a difference. He has been off Effexor now and the oncologist is saying to try the low dose Estradiol patch . To be honest we

Back in 2005 i had a breakup that wasn't particularly bad but it was a trigger for me and something broke. I Started with zoloft, effexor, lexapro. Most recently i was prescribed

new meds
So I did well transitioning from Effexor to Zoloft. Some bad dizziness and stuff but I managed. Now I’m kinda struggling with feeling sad… mainly I think it’s due to being on a low dose and getting Zoloft built up in my system. I’m just feeling sad and wishing my struggles with mental health were easier

Has anyone here had the experience of taking meds for ADHD while trying to keep blood pressure under control?
Hi, I'm new here and recently diagnosed with ADHD (inattentive type). I'm almost 40 and never took any stimulants. I also suffer from anxiety and depression and have high blood pressure (which I think is related to my anxiety). I've been taking Sertraline for depression and Hydrochlorothiazide for hypertension

Just need a little encouragement
I’m switching meds from effexor to Zoloft. I’ve been doing well until today.. day 9… I think more and more of the Effexor is getting out of my system. Anyways tomorrow is my 50th bday and a cpl of my kiddos are here to celebrate with me. We are going on a big out to today which we had planned and I’

Newly diagnosed
I am new to this group. I have Giant Cell Arteritis, Polymyalgia Rheumatica, Hashimoto’s, IBS, Intestitial Cystitis and Reynaud’s. A year ago I had a heart attack. Last week I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Otherwise I am terrific (🤪). My doctor wants me to go on Effexor. I have many drug allergies

Help, I need to know I'm not alone
I was on the same two medications for 24 years, effexor and trazadone, and managed my anxiety/depression/panic well my whole life. Long story short, I had a medical episode at the beginning of the year that necessitated I switch medications. I feel like I have been in hell for the last three months

Have been doing great until the past few days
I take Effexor and at first the nightmares were bad but it got better. I feel pretty good during the day and it’s helped my panic attacks pretty much go away until the past few days. I saw a video of how bad coming of of Effexor was and now my anxiety has gotten bad about taking it ☹️ any advice would

changing from sifrol
I’m about to make an appointment with my sleep specialist . At present I am on .15 daily sifrol - I understand .5 is recommended as highest daily dose. This dose was prescribed by a neurologist who thought 1.5 was fine in fact I could increase it if needed. He mostly works with Parkinson’s patients

Help me
I stopped taking my medication cold turkey February 2nd and by yesterday was ready to take my own life. Nobody in my life understands the severity of my illness. They just laugh and say I'm crazy. I used to be a fun loving, spontaneous individual, but now I have to plan days in advance to leave my house

Effexor vestibular migraine
I have been researching Effexor for use in vestibular migraine, it appears to work well however i have seen alot of information that says it is a very hard drug to come off of? Has anyone successfully come off this and your vestibular migraine treated?

Feeling isolated because of medication use
hi! i have diagnosed depression (and anxiety) and have finally found meds that help me: effexor and lithium. i am so so grateful that i have had access to treatment that has ultimately saved my life, but i still feel this extreme isolation because of being on a medication that is so incredibly stigmatized
