incredibly lucky
I feel so incredibly lucky after reading some of your stories. I had a HA 5 yrs ago, was told that if someone has to have a HA they would want one like yours? It was explained to me that it was on the right side and very low down?? I stayed overnight in hospital and the first time I saw a consultant

Emergency cardiac admission to hospital. Advice please.
I had severe left sided pain Wednesday evening. Grabbed my hospital bag and took a taxi to emergency. It wasn't a heart attack but i was admitted to cardiology ward because of irregular ecg. On Sunday morning i am having a cardiac catheterization to look for and treat any narrowing of arteries. I

Stopping Sotolol after ablation - fast HR and breathless
Hello, I am an ablation for Paroxysmal AFib and Flutter on 11th July. All went well. As well as AFib I used to get long periods ( a week or more) of other arrhythmia -PACs, SVTs, PVCs. They told me the ablation might not help stop these. During the 3 month blanking period, had some days of chest

About anxiety
The number of times I've been told all my symptoms are from anxiety you wouldn't believe. Problem is when they take my oxygen levels or do an ECG they always come back normal.

cardioversion
Hi everyone I had my cardioversion today and it was successful. Thank you everyone for your support and you were all right it wasn’t as bad as I had imagined. When the consultant came to see me before discharge he was a bit perturbed! He said I was shocked three times and didn’t convert straight away

Tricky question... painful topic
I love my husband with all my heart but I long for a child of my own with every heartbeat and we even looked into AI - the people we talked to were positive
ect
but the man who came to our home was horrible and just gross, being very lewd towards me and talking dirty when my husband wasn't in the room

Understanding the way forward
I am an 81 year old female. My Thyroid/2nd goitre was removed about 7 years ago. Prescribed Levothyroxine and seemed to recover OK for a while. About 5 years ago experienced tiredness, and a long-standing viral respiratory infection. GP referred me to consultant but usual blood tests etc rated as normal

Hi you lovely people. long story so I’ll keep it short. Iv had 3 ablations and have a history of palpitations. went to GP asked for a monitor because I’m getting ectopics frequently. He said NO need but come for ECG in 2days and bloods.!! I wasn’t happy so asked to be referred to a cardiologist

Struggling. Any advice?
hello everyone, I did 3 egg collections last year and one (failed) transfer. I’ve got endometriosis and adenomyosis and unfortunately the ECs flared things to the point that I have pain a lot more than was normal before. I also got OHSS a few times and when our transfer failed… it kind of broke me in

Heart palpatations and Afib
I've been having heart palpatations for about a year now. My smart watch regularly tells me I'm in Afib and I have an app that records my watch ECG. Of all these, I've had 91% abnormal results, with a PVC burden of 23%. I've had a 6 day holter on and should recieve feedback from this next week. I'm struggling

Chest Spasms
Hi I suffer with moderate stenosis of the aortic valve and left bundle branch block. I have always enjoyed long brisk walks. Over the past couple of years i have often had what i can only describe as a small chest spasm, usually during the early stages of my walk. This never bothered me and i would

When you talk about heart rate on here . Do you mean the red pulsing heart ? On Apple Watch .
I’m starting to ignore the ecg as it’s getting me and hubby confused so concentrating on the red heart on the Apple Watch . As I think the ecg counts the flutters from the top part of the heart thst gets confused with the electrical signals . The heart function nurse said that digoxin can mask the problem

Recent ecg
Heart wise I only suffer from occasional sinus tachycardia. A recent ecg by paramedics( gallstone problem) showed a possibly enlarged left atrium. Do I need to see my GP about this?

Clopidogrel
In June 2023 I ended up in A&E with some odd symptoms and the doctors thought I had a TIA, after a MRI, CT with contrast, ECG, Blood tests, Echo and a heart monitor for a week they could not confirm or deny what happened that day but wanted to keep me on clopidogrel for 3 months just incase. Since then

Will the cardiologist listen if I show them my Fitbit heart rate graphs?
I had an overnight ECG a few months ago and the results made the GP refer me to the cardiologist. They only said because of ectopic beats but I now know that they're quite common so I don't know what they want to talk to me about. I was told I'd be having tests like an echocardiogram and maybe a stress
