New diagnosis
Christmas Eve saw me admitted to a&e with a severe migraine (something I have suffered with since a teenager). I had all the normal ones done as well as an ECG. The ECG picked up an abnormal heart rate for someone of my age and the doctor send a letter to my GP asking to refer me for an echocardiogram

Valve knocking?
Hi All, hope everyone is doing OK. I had an aortic valve replacement 15 years ago and have been on warfarin ever since. Ive not had any real issues since however in 2020 I suffered a head injury (which I've posted about on headway forum). Since then I've been diagnosed with post concussion syndrome,

Kardia Readings - feels like Bingo!
I was given a Kardia device to take my own ECG readings just over a week ago to see if I could capture any of the episodes. Since starting this, I’ve recorded a number of different things as follows: - wide QRS complex x 3 - atrial fibrillation x 18 - PVCs (premature ventricular contractions) x 4

Headache
I was in A&E last night with a terrific headache, pain in shoulders and neck. ECG, blood tests etc, revealed nothing, although I was worried it may be a symptom of GCA. I started a flare in late January after two bouts of nasty colds and Covid which put me out of action for two months. I raised my pred

Short episode five months after ablation.
Do hope everyone is having a good day and has been able to enjoy this beautiful weather. I have PAF and had my first ablation 5 months ago. All was fine through recovery, some discomfort, some ectopics and loads of tiredness. Two and a half weeks ago the report was good in my post ablation consultation

Palpitations in the night
I'm so scared, 64 year old female. The first time I had palpitations was around 30 years ago, went on for hours by the time the doctor arrived (back in the day of the home visits!) it had stopped he checked my heart with the stethescope and said all is fine just palpitations due to anxiety and nothing

Fast forward a relatively easy time of periods but on/off PMS with an undiagnosed progesterone intolerant body I am now perimenopausal at 47 years of age in health dire straits. I started on Evorel Sequi, changed

Palpitations - help I'm scared
HiI went to the local A&E on Tuesday with a racing heart. The doctor I saw was lovely & eased any initial worries I had. They did an ECG & I was shocked when that came back normal as I didn't think it would. They told me to cut down my caffeine & try to relax at home taking deep breaths & plenty of water

My response to my endo...
Oh, why oh why do they want to make and keep us sick?? My endo did my yearly test - and she only ordered a TSH (I had done them privately, so I knew it would be low, and my FT4 was, too) - I expected her to at least test for FT4s, but she didn't - and here was her response: [i]TSH is low, showing your

Feel like a bit of a Fraud
I had an AF episode in mid January which lasted 5 hours but by the time I got to hospital everything was normal. Stayed overnight on a heart monitor - nothing, so discharged and told I would he sent a Kardiamobile app but shoukd continue living as normal. NHS then cancelled Kardiamobile and gave me

New to afib
Just been prescribed Bisoprolol for afib. my recent ecg indicated this along with 110bpm, but my heart rate is usually around 55-60 at rest. I put this down to nerves whilst in hospital. I have now had 3 days on the beta blocker and it has slowed my heart rate to low 40`s, but eratic heart beat persists

An update
Hello all, I hope you are all well. I haven't posted for a while, but I have had a few more tests, and I wanted to give all an update. I was booked for an exercise stress test, which was abandoned due to a very fast heart rate before starting. It was really strange because when they hooked me up
