EF Question
I just had a trans thoracic
echocardiogram
performed. The report states that I have a normal left ventricular size. Borderline LVH. Plus, it states that my left ventricular EF by visual assessment is estimated to be 55%.

No diagnosis - still in hospital on my 34 th day!
However,I was symptomless , and the
echocardiogram
came back heart structures and EF okay. So on to an angiogram with stents ready, but all the pipes were clear too, so pointing to a possible non ischaemic event.

Ectopics scaring me, lasting longer than usual.
I want to have an
echocardiogram
, but, like the monitor, I would have to pay because the cardiologist and GP don't think it is necessary, only if they feel these tests are needed do you get them paid by the government.

Should I have been informed that I have mild aortic stenosis...was told my results are normal
Recently had an
echocardiogram
because a heart mumur was picked up. When I eventually tracked down the doctor for my results he said everything was normal. I wanted to see the results for myself and requested the results.

Post ablation comfort
The cardio team had to employ a special internal
echocardiogram
catheter (an ICE) to avoid disturbing previous scarring from hole in heart op 55 years ago. I know this is all part of a process and I’m not expecting miracles but I’m not afraid to have further procedures if needed.

query re DIY heart/circulation monitoring
I have had two semi -lying down ecgs, two chest X-rays and an
echocardiogram
… all reported back as ok. I am on a waiting list to be tilt table tested for PoTS, but the falls clinic specialist has already suggested this as unlikely ( I am nearly 70!).

Atrial Fibrillation. Help.
Was told an
echocardiogram
would be done. I asked about waiting times, thinking it might be quicker to pay in the current situation. I was told that wasn’t necessary and that it’d be done in a couple on months. That was a month ago.

Moderate mitral valve regurgitation/prolapse
Unfortunately, the hospitals where I had the
echocardiogram
and the one where I had the cardiologist appointment were not on the same computer system, despite both being NHS and only a couple of miles away from each other, so the consultant couldn’t see the pictures of the
echocardiogram
.

Ablation appointment take two …..
They need to use an internal
echocardiogram
on me (ICE) due to previous heart surgery and clot risk. There is only one such thing in the locality which is why they had to cancel todays appointment.

beta blocker. Coming off them
I have also had two
echocardiogram
over the last 2 years and they were perfectly fine EKGs are fine too Is there truly a safe way to come off it? I wish I never agreed to it. However, I was scared because of the tachycardia event I had that put me in the emergency room at the time.

Longstanding hypertension
I saw a Cardiologist yesterday who after reviewing my CT angiogram and
echocardiogram
said my arteries and heart are perfection, like brand new copper pipes. I have to say, I'm thrilled, I assumed after years of spikes of BP my inners would be somewhat damaged.

A big shout out for an ILR - implanted loop recorder ECG
New
echocardiogram
and angiogram show no underlying heart defects and I have an EF of 65%. If you get offered this device, or think you should be offered this device don't even blink to think about it, say when. In my opinion!

AF With Heart Twinges
I've had an
echocardiogram
which showed a dilated left atrium but nothing out of the ordinary for AF, numerous Holter monitors, a stress test, and have recently been diagnosed with flutter as well as AFib.

Had an
echocardiogram
today... No results though as its my 1st since having an ICD fitted. I am disappointed and relieved at the same time! My husband is super and my absolute rock. He is sure my heart is getting stronger because I am not sleeping so much in the day, so thats enough for me!
