Dobutamine stress echocardiogram
Hi friends, i have an appointment for one of these tests soon, and i am worried. Is it straight forward, and how do you feel? I had a cardio stress test on the treadmill recently which was awful, i couldnt breathe and felt dreadful. Heart was pounding. Any reassurance would be appreciated, thank you

Update to cardiologist visit.
Had an earlier appointment with my cardiologist yesterday,
echocardiogram
. Another ECG . Upshot of it is, he wants to do more investigations. Was given the option of invasive test or another
echocardiogram
and a nuclear scan. Being the hero I am, I opted for the latter.

Mitral Valve Issue
Obviously I am no doctor but I would have thought he should have something like an
echocardiogram
every year or two?

Had an
echocardiogram
and 3 day holter monitor which showed my heart muscle and valve are ok but episodes of fast irregular heart rate and some SVT’s. I am now trying to gather info to get a better understanding of the condition.

GP sent me to A&E resulting in a,6 day stay in hospital, after CT scan, dollar scan on arm &
echocardiogram
it was determined I had a blood clot in my lower arm caused by my AF , even though had been taking Pradaxa at max dose for 4yrs!

Afib - 32 year old male
I’ve had
echocardiogram
, stress test, holt monitor. All results were pretty normal except for the holt showing the PVC’s and occasional tachycardia / bradycardia. My question is...what does my future hold? Will this get worse? What can I do to prolong my life?

Regurgitating valves
Hi there I recently had an
echocardiogram
. I then went to my cardiologist appointment and he said to me ‘your results are all clear it looks good’. Today, I was at my G.P. and I asked to see my results, so he printed them for me. I have mild mitral, aortic and triscupid regurgitation.

“Fitness for Surgery” OR Pre-Op
Typically, an angiogram in valid for 12 months, an
echocardiogram
for six months, etc. I will not quote a long list as the lifetime of a test may vary between NHS Trusts, and the tests done will vary with your condition.

Pericarditis
A&e had said i was suffering anxiety as all tests came back negative until my gp arranged an
echocardiogram
. I have been told I have pericarditis and also fluid present. I’ve been prescribed colchicine which don’t seem to be helping symptoms.
