I am having one of those, is it ok? Is it just like an ultra sound scan?

Thank you. I thought so. I had a stress cardiogram done recently, and i could be bordering on angina( i guess copd has a hand in it!), but doctors requesting an echo one now.

Hello mixy79 .

I am guessing your doctor suspects problems with the valves or chambers of your heart, that may cause shortness of breath. Is this why you had the echocardiogram? I think what comes next depends on the results of the test. When will you see your doctor for the results?

Hello mixy79 . I can't imagine they would do the test and not explain the results after. Would it be possible to call and ask for an estimate as to when you may be called for an appointment? In the mean time are you comfortable enough? No pain? It's rather confusing isn't it if they didn't mention the follow up appointment. xx

Ive had 2 echocardiagrams as my breathing became worse .both showed slight differences on the heart side .The doctor explained it to me after the gram and there was nothing for me to get worried about. Dud they not discuss your results with you after the scan ? X
