mitral and tricuspid regurgitation
hi everyone, I had a
echocardiogram
recently and they found a moderate mitral and tricuspid regurgitation. Symptoms felt include chest pain and heart palpitations. Anyone went through this? How fast does it progress? What is the life expectancy when suffering from this?

Rheumatic Fever.
When I was 14 I had the above when got soaked in a tent overnight at a camp. I am now 68 and till 6 months ago had no issues, although left with a murmur at 14. Suddenly with symptoms of light headiness and some breathlessness I collapsed. Post extensive tests I know have to have my aortic valve replaced

echocardiogram
Hi all I was born with TOF I had total correction 45 years ago. Two years ago I had a PVR. Today I went for my annual echo for a check up. It seemed to be mostly red in colour with some blue and very little other colours. There was a lot of red. Is this of concern? I know it depends on the view etc

Hubby and his heart
My husband had bad flu over Christmas and since then has had huge issues with breathlessness, bloating, fluid retention and fatigue. He's had ECG's, MRI , chest x-ray and bloods. This has shown up that he has fluid around his heart as it's just not pumping properly, is severely anaemic and his vitamin

Post Ablation Diagnosis
As the follow up is a phone call, there will be no evidence from ECG,
Echocardiogram
, BP readings etc to show how successful or otherwise the procedure has been; does this mean that even if I have no episodes of Afib -then, with no medical test results to the contrary- I remain with a diagnosis of Afib

Aortic valve leakage
I’m now going to have an
echocardiogram
. The thing is I had an echo this time last year and nothing was picked up?! I’ve had chest pain and breathlessness on exercise for the past year which my previous cardiologist put down to me having had Covid and said it was likely myocarditis.

Hospital update
ECG was ok but she’s sending me for an
echocardiogram
and ct scan to be sure. She did wonder if I had a lung problem due to being an ex smoker (only for 2 months) and having had radiotherapy on my left chest for breast cancer 11 years ago.

Leaky Aortic Valve
She sent me for an
echocardiogram
which the technologist said didn’t show LVH but a leaky aortic valve. I haven’t had the official results (not sent to my GP) and my telephone consultation with a member of the Cardiac department has been postponed from June to November.

exercise bike stress echo test
Out of the blue “ping” Apple Watch shows notification of an NHS appointment in late June 2023 for an Exercise Bike Stress
Echocardiogram
Test in London so means another expensive round trip. It was mentioned when met surgeon in April (in London) but nothing said in their letter after.

I'm not convinced the stress
echocardiogram
is going to show a narrowing. I had one before which was clear and then 18 months later had a 99% blockage in my LAD artery.

Liver transplant advice - missing IVC vein.
No cardiac abnormalities were found on the
echocardiogram
. This issue is also causing portal hypertension due to the back flow of blood. A side note: She’s not been able to conceive naturally and has had 3 M/Cs with medical intervention. We now believe this is the reason behind that.
