hi everyone, I had a echocardiogram recently and they found a moderate mitral and tricuspid regurgitation. Symptoms felt include chest pain and heart palpitations. Anyone went through this? How fast does it progress? What is the life expectancy when suffering from this? Anyone with valve repair or replacement? How risky are these procedures?

Hi and welcome to the forum!
Well the good news is that it's moderate regurge so not that much of an issue. You mentioned about the chest pain and palpitations, are you on any medications for this? I have mild to moderate stenosis and moderate to severe regurgitation so will need surgery at some point. I would probably ask your doctor or cardiologist at your next echo maybe? When is your next appointment. I have mine once a year. Wish you all the best and I hope you can get some answers to these questions. Sorry I wasn't much help ❤️.
Hi and thank you very much for your reply. I‘m only 31 and the news came as a shock. I’m yet to be under treatment as I’m waiting to be scheduled for a transesophageal echocardiogram. I also have high cholesterol and liver steatosis so I’m a bit taken aback by it all.
Wow sounds like you have alot going on as it is! And then this on top! . Yeah it's worse when you go through it when your young I'm only 25 I was born with it so I have had alot longer to process it. I've never had a transesphageal echo before hope that goes well for you and hope your not waiting too long for this appointment x ❤️
oh wow, yumz, I’ve read your story and you’re such a survivor, so proud of you and you’re giving me hope that life is possible even with a faulty heart ❤️ thank you for your kindness
Forgot to mention in my bio I also have a ventricular septal defect but it's small so they said can just leave that. 😅❤️
