Triple By Pass

i had a triple by pass on 2018. 2 years later an echocardiogram revealed a leaky aortic valve. My consultant believe I would not be suitable for key hole surgery, which means opening up my chest again. Anybody experienced this?

Dear Cpfc

I had open heart surgery to replace my aortic valve. The less invasive op is a TAVi. I accepted my surgeons advice that OHS would be marginally preferable (for me).

It is a big op and recovery is slow but steady. Fantastic surgeon plus even more fantastic support staff.

Four years on I have no problems. An annual check at the local hospital, where they do two scans then interview for the results. Out within the hour, seen on time, no long waits.

OHS is an amazing op. Nothing like regular ops.

And it saved my life.
