If you are still under the care of a hospital cardiology team they will decide how frequently you require an ECG according to your needs, and so you will find this out when you have a review with the cardiologist, who may get one done before a consultation. But if you have been discharged back to the GP you should have a care plan on your discharge notes which the GP and you will have received , and this may cover the need for further ECGs. But if you want a professional opinion on this I suggest you speak with the BHF heart helpline nurse, or better talk to the people whose care you are under.

How long have you had Af? I was misdiagnosed last year with permanent af, when saw cardiologist have large hole in my heart! You should be offered treatments for it! Ablation or cardioversion, Bisoprolol may bring it back into sinus,do you have a reason for af?

I am having problems with water retention so my GP has sent in a referral to see the cardiologist and also requested an echocardiogram. Been 4 years since I had one and a bubble echocardiogram. Hopefully will give me a water tablet as I can put 4lb on in a day and lose it the next . It's very annoying especially as taking it slowly lost 7st over 5 years. Been trying to lose the last stone for 3 years now . And this isn't helping sticking to my cals but weight up like a yo yo. 🤬
