DuoResp Spiromax

He suggested I try duoresp spiromax as a reliever instead of ventolin, with a view to replacing seretide also in the future if I wanted to. I tried it one day when I was a bit chesty in damp weather. I had a really bad reaction in seconds.

For the most part the meds I'm on (DuoResp Spiromax 160/4.5, two puffs twice a day; Montelukast 10mg at night; Fexofenadine 120mg, one tablet twice a day) do a decent job - until they don't.

I use DuoResp Spiromax 320/9 dry powder inhaler (and Salamol inhaler, when needed, not often). I also am in my 6th year of Permanent, though asymptomatic, Atrial Fibrillation after 22 years of Paroxysmal AF. My only medication for that is an anticoagulant, Warfarin being my choice.

Taking pred. salamol and duoresp spiromax. Please advise if I should go out in fresh air and risk a bad reaction with v high pollen count or stay in and quiet for the week ahead as no rain is forecast. Or go out with an ordinary covid mask to help keep allergens away ?

Been on Duoresp Spiromax for couple of weeks. Seems to be working well for breathlessness but I get headaches with it. Has anyone had this and - if so - how long did the headaches last for. I am loathe to try yet another inhaler. Thank you for any replies.

Changed over to DUORESP Spiromax last Friday. It helps slightly but how long do I need to use this for the benefits to get into my system 100%? I have something planned for next week that I really want to go to 😟. Am I expecting too much too soon?

I am now going to be trying DUORESP SPIROMAX. I have never heard of this but respiratory nurse thinks it is worth a try. Has anyone used this and how have they got on with it please? Many thanks for any replies.

When I last went to get my script filled, the pharmacist asked if I wanted to try the Duoresp Spiromax - said it was exactly the same as Symbicort, but a better delivery method/easier to use inhaler. I used it for 2 nights.

Do you think that I am allergic to Spiromax? Or are these typical side effects most people get? Or am I ill with something else that coincidentally started last month? Thanks for your consideration.

Has anyone noticed an improvement on changing to DuoResp Spiromax? I was taking seretide for years and then went on to Fostair which was no good. In previous years I have been short of breath for several weeks from March until end of June. I have had the odd blip which lasted a few days.

🤔 For years I had been on a high dose: 2 puffs twice a day of Duoresp Spiromax 320/9 and this wasn’t stopping exacerbations occurring a couple of times a year, but then the latest being only 3 months. I was swapped onto Fostair 100/6 on a MART.

I’ve only ever been on one steroid inhaler which is currently Fostair 100/6, having switched to this from Duoresp Spiromax 320/9 a couple of months ago. I’ve now been given Atrovent to take 3 times a day as well.

😬 My heart’s pounding a bit which I’ve noticed after taking ventolin and my previous inhaler which was Duoresp Spiromax (2puffs twice a day of 320/9). I’m assuming it is the Spiriva which has caused this, is this a usual side effect?

Are symbicort and duoresp spiromax the same? I am asking because symbicort is not working for me and I was exchanged for a duoresp spiromax. What should I do?

Just before Christmas my meds were swapped from Duoresp spiromax 320/9 2 puff, twice a day, to Fostair on a SMART regime. As I was reducing steroids over the first week, I was told to take 8puffs for 2 weeks and then reduce the dose slowly to 2 puffs twice a day.

I’ve been on Duoresp spiromax, which I took without a spacer and it wasn’t necessary to shake it before use. But now I’ve changed to Fostair I’m unsure, although reading the instructions it looks like you don’t shake it when you’re using it without a spacer.

I now use Duoresp Spiromax inhaler which has really helped. Learning as I go

Hi, I renewed my prescription yesterday and instead of my regular Fostair NEXThaler, I was given DuoResp Spiromax, due to the former being in short supply. Is this due to the current crisis or is it going to be a permanent thing?

I take DuoResp Spiromax 320/9 two puffs twice a day but have not received a letter yet to self isolate for 12 weeks. Has anybody?

Hello, I am struggling with my DuoResp Spiromax inhaler in that it does not control my asthma and find I keep needing to use my Ventolin inhaler. I am currently on 3 puffs twice a day so is a higish dose.
