I do not suffer from hay fever ( much). My asthma has been triggered by a viral infection which has now gone but left me short of breath. Taking pred. salamol and duoresp spiromax.
Please advise if I should go out in fresh air and risk a bad reaction with v high pollen count or stay in and quiet for the week ahead as no rain is forecast.
Or go out with an ordinary covid mask to help keep allergens away ?
Ps Peak flow,290 upon wakening and 400 late afternoon ( if I'm quiet and fairly inactive )
Thanks in anticipation👍

Pollen count tends to be lower in the middle of the day when it's sunny like this, so if you do need to go out, maybe go then? I don't suffer hugely from hayfever, and I find that at the moment, I'm having symptoms first thing in the morning and as the sun starts to set , but between late morning and early afternoon I'm fine.
Thank you Mandevilla. It's good to know that I am part of a helpful and caring community. I will go out today and I'm heading for the coast ( less pollen ) . Instead of a concern,it has turned into a treat. You have changed my attitude from negative to positive. Cheers
That's good to hear! I hope you have a lovely day by the coast. I know it varies for everyone, but I always find my asthma much better when I'm nearer to the sea, so I hope it's the same for you too!
Thank you so much Homely2.I've been to the coast today and performed some deep breathing exercises. I'm know my asthma has improved ( I took salamol and a peak flow meter with me ) I sure enjoyed the fish and chips !
You are right to suggest leaving the house as we too are washing the 'big ' things at home , bedding etc
Thanks for encouragement, it's so easy to lose one's mojo.
