Breathing abnormalities in Parkinsons
The underlying mechanisms of this pattern of breathing abnormality in PD are not fully understood but are likely to include a combination of factors: increased chest wall rigidity; a reduction in lung volume secondary to stooped posture; and lung changes secondary to ergot-derived

Parkinson’s: Autoimmune attack may start years before diagnosis
The existence of these prediagnostic symptoms suggests that damage to
dopamine
-producing nerve cells begins long before the person experiences trouble with movement.

Might PD pharmaceuticals restore my athletic performance?
But, I might be wiling to try
dopamine
therapy or some such if it would help in this area. My first doc initially recommended Mirapex, but I declined.

Dopamine through the night
Hi all. I was wondering if any of you take stuff during the night. I never thought it was something I’d consider as I presumed I’d save it for daytime, but I reflected recently that maybe a) it might help with sleep and b) it meant less of an uphill journey for the first drugs in the morning. Your thoughts

Exercise
In quick intense intervals the brain mitocondra function better, and
dopamine
seems realised quicker. I don't know i get bored running long distance. I feel more energised doing quick workouts. Any thoughts?

Could my FND actually be dopamine deficiency?
Am I going mad, or is there some logic in my thought process that my problems are
dopamine
related? I am terrified of being wrongly diagnosed. I am not sure what to regarding this. Feeling very stressed.

Insomnia - Ropinorole & Pramipexole the same?
I know they are both
dopamine
antagonists but maybe one is better than the other in that respect and it was over 10 years ago I last took it. Has anyone swapped between them and found any difference? My RLS is under control so this seems to be a side-effect from what I've read on here.

Excess sugars profoundly impacts your kidney health
It's more addictive than cocaine and so the
dopamine
receptors in your brain will need a chance to adjust. It will hugely impact your overall health so make a change today. Start somewhere - maybe ease off the sugar in your tea and coffee for example. I know it's tough.

My experience with Buprenorphine
This is a great drug to use while getting off
dopamine
agonists drugs. It could really help. I have had RLS for over 30 years. I'm still on Pramipexole low dosage, but was hoping to get off to use something without chances of augmentation.

Slowly but Surely, the USA Inches Toward Stem Cell Trials
The company plans to treat the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease by replacing the lost
dopamine
neurons with autologous (DNA-matching)
dopamine
neurons created from the person’s own cells. https://techcrunch.com/2020/04/01/aspen-neuroscience-raises-90-million-to-treat-parkinson-disease/

More Stem Cell Success!
A new therapeutic approach in which patient-derived
dopamine
-producing neurons are transplanted into the brain may halt Parkinson’s disease progression, a case report suggests.

🌈May be helpful to someone
I have been treated with RLS drugs for at least 10 years & have been through most of them including the various
Dopamine
agonists (& subsequent augmentation)tramadol gabapentin & opioids. I have avoided alcohol & caffeine. I take iron, & have used every sensible self help measure under the sun.

LDN causing Dystonia or neck jerking?
Anyways, after reading about dystonia, I read certain medications that block
dopamine
can cause it. My question is, I take low dose Naltrexone which does that in the middle of the night while I'm sleeping.

And the dystonia in my foot is driving me crazy, it is end of dose dystonia, and with nothing that lowers my
dopamine
level I already have my foot writhing in pain. I can't sit up, I have to walk, and my body is tensing up.

Stomach making me feel sad.
I can't manage stress I'm a
dopamine
addict and a procrastinator that's how I've always dealt with it. I do destructive things that affect my health negatively when I'm stressed. I feel ashamed of myself for even seeking attention.

MIRAPEXIN PROLONGED RELEASE
I was so proud of myself coming off the
Dopamine
Agonists for 14 years and now he wants me to get back on. Now I have just read somewhere which says it is for Parkinson's and not for RLS.
