Well after 13 months of waiting for a neurologist, turns out it’s not restless legs....
I have a tic disorder & ADHD!!
So hospital putting plan together but they think I’ll need dopamine therapy and congenital therapy. If that doesn’t work I’m sawing them off!!!
I'm glad you've got a diagnosis.
Being a bit of a "medical detective", ( I like to try and work out what's wrong from people's descriptions), I find your diagnosis interesting.
It does seem possible that tic disorder could be confused with RLS quite easily.
I've just read that tic disorder has to be diagnosed before the age of 18! I wonder then if you've had it that long.
I wish you lots of luck with the therapy you're offered and you msnage to sleep better.
Yeah I’ve had it since birth and should of really been seen by a child psychologist. I mean let’s all be honest... I think we’d all try anything to try and get rid of this vile life interruption.
A long, long time ago, before I ever heard of RLS, I spent a lot of time google searching "myoclonic jerks", tics etc... I remember searching, "Why do I always rub my feet together to get to sleep?" Jerks, tics those are all terms that are used in my household daily, sadly.
Had it since a kid. And Adhd. My mum never took me to psychiatrist which is obviously what I needed. On aripiprizole which is slowly helping
