decompensated cirrhosis - aching
Partner diagnosed 22.12.22 decompensated alcohol related cirrhosis. Stopped drinking then. Bloods slowly improving until a bit of a crisis 3 weeks ago when he was suffering from awful edema (he previously couldn't take water tablets due to low sodium). He is back home and bloods are now looking better

It's more or less gone back in now but googling tells me that it won't be a one-off. I have real difficulties with

Okay, I had my sodium IV this morning. It is amazing! I feel like a different person. I never knew that your sodium level could cause such horrible problems. It was an easy fix. Thank goodness I have a fabulous doctor who rooted out the problem and immediately fixed it! I am really grateful. Thank you

Not a relapse

I have moderate coronary artery disease, high bp and high cholesterol and am on medication to keep all these things in check. I saw my doctor originally cos I was getting sharp

Imodium how often?
How often can you take Imodium to help with IBSD and how many do you take? How long before you go out do you take them? Is Loritax the same, itâs cheaper than Imodium? Thanks.

Reaction question
Hi all, new here. I believe that I am reactive to glycols and I'm trying to figure it all out. I started my health journey years ago as a way of coping with my highly allergenic self (asthma, eosinophilia, sjogrens) and have not eaten processed foods largely at all because of it. My hair, skin and

Diarrhoea every afternoon
Just asking advice. Does anyone else have diarrhoea every afternoon no matter what they have eaten? Itâs been going on for months now and feel like itâs ruining my life. Itâs always about half an hour ish after Iâve eaten and itâs explosive and foul stenching. I have tried all sorts. Even Imodium won

Diarrhea while weaning pred and on actemra
I have had diarrhea almost constantly for 2-3 weeks. Since I started on prednisone and actemra about a year ago, I have had it about once a week, but this is unusual. I don't feel sick in any other way--except for the cramping and discomfort from diarrhea. I am tapering my prednisone by 1/2 mg every

Stage 5 symptoms just before dialysis begins
Ok, some of you folks who have gone before me, tell me again what symptoms I should be seeing at stage 5 to know it's "time" to start dialysis. I've been waiting for these symptoms to show up for months and I still feel ok, doing pretty much whatever I want to do (within reason for my age-69). I see

Coronary artery vasospasm
Following a recent angiogram (with acetylcholine) I now know my angina is vasospasm. I first noticed it early 2014 and itâs gradually worsened since but thankfully not (yet) at night or at rest. My symptoms suggested micro vascular angina but those vessels appear to be in the clear. The coronary artery

Who knows about ferritin/ iron tests? Confused here! Do I need to do something? Help please!
I get confused with ferritin and iron results, as I can't remember how they work together. Ferritin is low, but haemoglobin is ok? My GP marked everything 'normal'. I'd be grateful for some explanation and advice on what to do please! I have felt more tired. In fact absolutely exhausted a couple of
