Living with presumed myocarditis which turned out to be MI
Sorry for this long post. I couldn't think how to make it shorter. I've found it hugely helpful to read the posts on this forum so I thought I'd reach out to seek some support and wisdom. My husband was fit and active (we enjoyed leisure cycling 15-20 miles, walking, gardening etc) until Oct '21. A

Pins and needles feeling
It all started on Tuesday. I had a bloated feeling and thought it was trapped wind? Took a Windeze and it seemed to help that feeling but then got a tingling in my face which was weird this then progressed to my shoulder's, arms and chest. It then seemed to ease and I just carried on. It was an effort

The monster has struck!
Good news this morning -I was told that I might be discharged tomorrow. All my monitors were removed in the morning including the temporary pacemaker and ECG. I went for a couple of walks on the ward which went quite well. I checked my pulse rate manually afterwards and all was steady at about 70bpm

Radium 223 -Is this tumour flare?
I started Radium 223 therapy on Tuesday and since then I suffered from general stiffness and pain from the back of the pelvis down to the lower leg. I was wondering if anyone else had suffered these symptoms and if it was tumour flare? Thanks

Yesterday Saw My Nephrologist
Hi Everyone, Yesterday I had an appointment with my nephrologist I was being seen every three months, but my labs in October of last were stable so they had me follow up in 5 months. To my surprise my regular nephrologist left her practice so now I'm under a new Dr's care. My blood pressure was a bit

How can I gain weight on Kidney friendly diet?
I have CKD Stage 3b and am working with a nutritionist and adhering to a kidney friendly diet, but keep losing weight. I have a high metabolism and have always had a problem keeping weight on, but this diet is not providing me with enough high calorie options. My nutritionist advised me to eat more nuts

Hi, I am new here. I was diagnosed with Stage 3C1 cervical cancer March 2021. I had 27 radiotherapy sessions, 5 chemotherapy sessions and 3 high dose brachytherapy sessions. My bowel issues started very early on and got worse and worse as treatment went on. I finished active treatment on 29th July. I

Parkwalk
Hey Everyone I've just completed my first parkwalk, I missed running and did want to run it (I might have jogged a tiny bit) and my time was 51:28 which ironically was my first Parkrun time back in the summer, way before we even knew I had any heart issues. I had my GTN spray, Asthma inhaler and am

Bloods results help please
I went to see my private endo 3 weeks ago and he asked for loads of bloods. I'll post them below but I'm confused as my previous tests on 07/10 showed TSH 2.89 (range 0.35-5.5 um/L) and free T4 14.3 pmol/L (range 10.5-21) - those were done by GPThe last bloods were done on 9/11 at di only a month later

Vaccine and Prolonged Diarrhea
I had the bivalent Covid vaccine on 27 December (my fifth vaccine). I had noticed in the last couple of years that about two weeks after each vaccine, my bowels acted up a bit but they subsided after taking Normix. But ever since 10 January, which was two weeks after this bivalent vaccine,

Parkwalk update
Hey Everyone Thanks for all the comments on me doing the parkrun at the weekend. I've taken all the comments on board and I've decided I'm going to walk it. I've run the course before and as I've volunteered since my heart attack I know a lot of the regular volunteers so I'm going to let them know I'm

Antidepressants and other meds
Hi all, especially Sue who I'm hoping can help. I have at last had blood tests which showed my levels were around 50, which she said wasn't that low, but I'm now on Iron 200mg a day, havibg another blood test in January. Also my sodium levels were little low so was told to use more salt on my food.

More angina when walking
Hi all, I've started to get angina again when I walk and I'm worried my artery is blocking again. Just as a quick background had stent Oct 2021 for 99% blockage LAD artery. My symptoms were pain on walking. Pains never went away and in fact got much worse. November 21 had another stent for 99% blockage
