Clinical Trial Dallas UT Southwestern
Pca harbouring the P53 gene is often unresponsive to
Docetaxel
as well. Having said that these defective genes also make the tumour more radiosensitive. Probably the reason why you had such a good response with lu177 psma therapy. " Keep flying! Blue Skies! Sky King and Penny ( woof)

Neuropathy AFTER Chemo: Treatment?
I had 14
docetaxel
treatments a little over a year ago with no neuropathy. Approximately two months after completing these 14 treatments, I began to have peripheral neuropathy in my fingertips and a small amount in my toes.

Q&A from this week's visit with our MO
Next would be
docetaxel
chemo (tho' we're looking at Pluvicto as well), probably starting in 3 months, or if the scan looks especially good, 6 months. Enjoying the rest of our summer as he continues to feel well. Visiting friends and family in the Bay Area next week. Grateful and praying...

Interrupted Docetaxel treatment
The reason I am writing this is to get an opinion about the
Docetaxel
treatment. As I mentioned my last one was at March 12th. Should I start up with no.5 as soon as possible or have a break and start from scratch again?

Infections during Chemo
At some time in the not too distant future I will be moving to
docetaxel
. I am worried about the way this affects the immune system -- and especially about exposure to UTIs. Has anybody else here had issues with infections during chemo? If so, can you provide advice on how to cope?

Docetaxel after rising PSA
Hi, Normally I will begin a
docetaxel
cure (6 x 3 weeks) in a few months (PSA is rising a lot after 4 years of Zytiga). Do you have an idea of the efficacity ratio of such a treatment ? Thx

FYI: New data on progression of visceral mets without PSA progression (discordance) and ARAT/docetaxel therapy
This retrospective study using 2008 - 2022 data published in June 2023 reveals a low subset of men (less than 10%) who had early
docetaxel
or androgen receptor axis-targeted therapy (ARAT, e.g., abiraterone and enzalutamide) may be susceptible to discordant progression.

Long time reader / first time poster…
Recurrence in Spring of 2022. 6 cycles
Docetaxel
. PSA undetectable. Began Zytiga following conclusion of chemo. PSA <0.006 per Labcorp. Just wanting to find support from people who have been through / going through similar situations.

Discolored Nails
What to do when
docetaxel
discolors your nails. It’s fun plus now when I look at my nails I don’t feel so bad. Last 3 weeks PSA dropped another 1.4 points!

Docetaxel efficacy
Hi All Three months after finishing
docetaxel
my husband’s PSA has risen from 0.3 to 3.4, which the oncologist tells us indicates that the cancer cells are active again, although he’s booked him for a PSMA PET scan to confirm this.

Zometa with or without Radium 223?
Hi I have done 1 year with Zometa alongside
Docetaxel
and more recently Radium 223. I'm halfway through the Radium 223 course but have been advised that after a year, Zometa has reached maximum effectiveness and should be stopped.

PSA rising during Docetaxel treatments
Is it bad if PSA rises slightly during
Docetaxel
treatments? It’s risen 3 out of the 4 treatments he’s had. Doc doesn’t seem too worried but we assumed it would go down. Scans looked good. Thank you!

Feeling hopeless
Dad has completed 11 cycles of
docetaxel
as part of a Lu-177 clinical trial but now has new mets and cancer progression. Radiation oncologist just told us today that they will administer 5 radiations (this is his 3rd time getting radiation in the 11 years he’s had PC).

Any tips welcome on how to tolerate chemo
So he will be treated with
Docetaxel
. He is getting around quite well on a walker, despite a lot of weight loss over the years, and a loss of muscle, and some incontinence..

Sadly Pluvicto did not work ...
I felt that they mirrored my
Docetaxel
treatments again other than my hair falling out I had no other SE's. which led me to believe that neither of these treatments were working and I was right. My Dr at Moffitt wants to start me on Cabazitaxel, while Dr.
