PSA stabilizing to 99.30 (from 3103), should we seek additional treatment or wait?
My dad was initially diagnosed at a very high PSA of 3103 and he is doing triplet therapy, he is about to take his fifth
docetaxel
chemo dose and it seems to have stabilized to 99.30.

Travel insurance and prostate cancer
Subsequently my PSA started to rise again so I was treated 5 years ago with
docetaxel
followed by decapeptyl hormone therapy starting 4 years ago. I want to go on holiday. Can anyone recommend a travel insurance company that will provide cover at a reasonable price? Thanks.

Docetaxel Re challenge
Last week PSMA showed most stable disease from radoum but two stubborn spots that seem to be a problem and Mo wants to get it under control and is suggesting a Re challenge of
Docetaxel
since he did so well on it when he was hormone sensitive .

PSA rising during triplet therapy. What to ask the oncologist?
The treatment has been going for four months and a half since ADT (2 months and a half since Zytiga and
Docetaxel
was added). He started ADT on December, Zytiga and
Docetaxel
two months later. He is at his third chemo dose, fourth tomorrow, and it went from 99.30 to 99.70 after the third dose.

Moving on...to olaparib
I recently updated to ask about chemo options, mainly cabazitaxel with or without carboplatin, or a second round of
docetaxel
, this time with carboplatin. I had been discussing these with my Mayo doctors, Kwon and Orme. Then earlier this week, Dr.

Triple Therapy
I started with Lupron+Abiraterone +
Docetaxel
. As I mentioned before elevated liver enzymes caused MO to place me on an Abiraterone vacation after cycle 1 of
Docetaxel
.
Docetaxel
was reduced to 3/4 dosage.

What comes next?
Started on triplet - Lupron, Abi &
docetaxel
. Due to liver issues, had to stop abi right before chemo. Restarted abi about 6 weeks after last chemo. at 500 mg, moved to 750 & then 1000, but had to go back to 750 due to high bilirubin. PSA hit low of 0.48 in mid-Jan. and has been rising since.

Chemo vs Pluvicto study
My friend is going to be in a trial comparing Pluvicto to
Docetaxel
. My question is why?
Docetaxel
has been around for so long that I would think they have all the info on it. PFS as well as OS. As well, the study was announced in 2021 so why are they still recruiting?

Abiraterone vs Docetaxel
After completing my 1st cycle of
Docetaxel
, my MO took me off AAP and reduced my dosage of
Docetaxel
because my liver enzymes elevated. Effectively, I am on a treatment plan that matches the CHAARTED trial of ADT+D.

Current Triplet State
Treatment plan is: Lupron injections every 3 mths Daralutamide now daily Chemo every 3rd week (
docetaxel
) ...this reads properly to you all and is the standard of care? They also want to radiation when chemo is complete.

Falling ALT - Pathway to Sarcopenia? - More Exercise Needed?
Two years in to my de novo high volume metastatic prostate cancer diagnosis, I am pleased to report excellent results so far with triplet therapy (
Docetaxel
chemo completed, Abiraterone ARPI, Firmagon/Degarelix GnRH antagonist as ADT). However I would be grateful for any advice today.

Are there options past Pluvicto?
He was diagnosed last year, and over the last 15 months he has endured ADT, Zytiga,
Docetaxel
(6 cycles), Cabazitaxel (four cycles before it failed), and now Xtandi and Pluvicto (and a bone strenghtener). I have added a more detailed medical history in my bio.

Husband’s first Docetaxel, day 4 and struggling
Hi all, Is there a posting or other source listing details and ways to victoriously endure 6 rounds of
Docetaxel
? My husband is 70 stage 4 . He is on immune suppressants due to a prior liver transplant. He was given Neulasta for the day after
Docetaxel
(D).

I am into another round of chemotherapy,
docetaxel
and Carboplatin and would love to have minimal addition to the discomfort I already endure.

Post-infusion pain in arm
Follow-up question to my husband having leakage during 3rd
docetaxel
infusion. First was swelling, which went down within hours (instructed to ice & elevate).

Xtandi is failing
Zoladex and
docetaxel
initially delivered a nadir of 0.06. I had a 2nd scare in April/May 2022 when my PSA rose to 39 and was doubling every 3 months.

Need some advice on what tools are still in the toolbox
I’ve run the gambit from Casodex to
Docetaxel
to Zytiga to Cabazitaxel to Pluvicto currently on Xtandi but it is failing. I’ve also had Lupron and Zometa along the way. All of my treatments have been at Hershey Medical Center.

Do Sulforaphane, Melatonin, and Cayenne Pepper work?
I have had a radical prostatectomy, chemo (
docetaxel
- 6 infusions 3 weeks apart), radiation (38 doses) and Lupron (18 months). I am done with all treatment for now. PSA minimum was 0.02, now at 0.04.
