Docetaxel efficacy
Hi All Three months after finishing
docetaxel
my husband’s PSA has risen from 0.3 to 3.4, which the oncologist tells us indicates that the cancer cells are active again, although he’s booked him for a PSMA PET scan to confirm this.

Rapidly Rising PSA
The treatment plan agreed yesterday was to start
Docetaxel
on Sept 6th (I had a short holiday break booked). I stopped taking Enza when it was clear that my numbers were creeping up and the side effects were awful.

Sadly Pluvicto did not work ...
I felt that they mirrored my
Docetaxel
treatments again other than my hair falling out I had no other SE's. which led me to believe that neither of these treatments were working and I was right. My Dr at Moffitt wants to start me on Cabazitaxel, while Dr.

Update on cabazitaxel
I had chemo with
docetaxel
in 2022, when PSA fell from about 60 to about 8, but no lower. Late in 2022 and early 2023, the Mayo Clinic sent me to the Anadolu Clinic in Istanbul for radiation with Lutetium-177, but this didn't seem to work.

Hi Gents, Does anyone know what I can do to curtail the effects of neuropathy to my fingers from
docetaxel
? On to a different subject, last Saturday I went to the ER due to extreme chills, but no fever.

PSMA Scan post Ra223 treatments
My guess is we are looking at starting
Docetaxel
before Christmas. We are also going to talk to a specialist on available clinical trials that he could be eligible for. Here's the actual report, the first PSMA scan he's had.

Falling ALT - Pathway to Sarcopenia? - More Exercise Needed?
Two years in to my de novo high volume metastatic prostate cancer diagnosis, I am pleased to report excellent results so far with triplet therapy (
Docetaxel
chemo completed, Abiraterone ARPI, Firmagon/Degarelix GnRH antagonist as ADT). However I would be grateful for any advice today.

A List for Newly Diagnosed that My Wife did in 2022 please add to list if anything is missed or wrong or needs updating. TIA
- These include: * ADT, Androgen Deprivation Therapy, which works by decreasing testosterone levels and slowing cancer growth * Hormonal therapies such as abiraterone and enzalutamide * Chemotherapy, such as
Docetaxel
Infusion Chemotherapy is often used after the body stops responding to hormone

Started Xtandi
So the Firmagon,
Docetaxel
and Radiation seemed to do a decent job. Now I've started Xtandi and after 3.5 weeks, a new low of 3.53! Doctor was very encouraged to see such a positive response. And luckily no side effects.

Increase in PSA
He received 6 doses of

Dull red blotches at chemo infusion site
Eric had his 3rd
docetaxel
chemo Friday, and for the first time ever, developed swelling above and below infusion site maybe an hour later, after we got home. He had started with a liter of saline to make sure he was fully hydrated (NP thought his tongue looked dry) (he hydrates like crazy!).

Post Docetaxel scan, which one?
Treated with LHRH analogue and
Docetaxel
. PSA now <.03. Last dose of
Docetaxel
due on 3rd May. Given previous CT and MRI scans having shown no abnormalities and PSA at <.03 which scan to go for to assess response to
