Massage for Epidural Fibrosis?
I had a partial
discectomy
two years ago and have had chronic pain after two months of being relative pain-free. Has anyone had positive experience with this or any other non-surgical procedure to get rid of scar tissue? Thanks in advance

Spinal problems...is there anyone out there who can help!!!
Hi all, new to this forum but looking for help and advice with managing pain, I have had back problems since 2010 ish... and so far I have had L5/S1 disc prolapse which required emergency

Recurrent UTI's, recent onset of urinary incontinence and now sudden back pain: What to do?!
And, having had previous spinal surgery in May 2014 (
Discectomy
) and February (Laminectomy) of this year, my GP an I are concerned about nerve damage being a cause. With this in mind, I'm a little bit worried at the moment as I have started getting some localised back pain without sciatica.

Feeling tired of everything. I'm 26 yrs old!
I had back surgery (
discectomy
) one year ago, then 6 weeks after that girls minimal change disease....it's rare I guess...AND I have what I call an unsteady gait. I think it's from the back surgery but nobody knows and it's irritating.

Living With Chronic Pain Part 2
How long is the waiting time for a micro endoscopic
discectomy
? It seems to work very well & quick to recover like 6 weeks? Which is nothing, if I got this done I can actually start looking to get my life back cause right now, I'm just wasting away I feel like an old man, how can that be right?

Orthopaedic assessment
hi folks, I'm looking for some advice, I was at the hospital yesterday about the results of my MRI I recived in January, the outcome of the conversation with the surgeon was that I had somthing called nerve blocker injections in advance to a second operation, the previous was a diskectomy on L4/L5. 5

Any advice would be greatly appreciated
I ended up being admitted to hospital and required emergency L5-S1 right side
discectomy
. (Sorry this but sucks) as I awoke from the surgery the pain in my right leg was like nothing I've ever experienced it was so intense I was automatically put on a morphine pump.

My First Post!
More MRI's and tests confirmed C5/6 disc prolapse and further surgery,
discectomy
and cage fusion, again no relief after that Op!

nerve root pain
Hello, I have had 3 micro discectomies on the same disc in the last 5 years ( L5 S1). After spending many months of feeling that no one believed me and wondering whether the pain was imaginary and all in my head! I have had confirmation from the pain clinic that scar tissue is attached to the nerve root

Week 8 and counting
Anyway, I'm 54, full time job, 2 grown up children, I had horrendous sciatica a few months ago and had an operation -
discectomy
and decompression- and physiotherapy etc. I felt old and stiff and on a slope towards decrepitude. Never did anything more than walk the dog.

The second operation was a
discectomy
which left me full of beans and rearing to go that lasted up to 2007 when yet another disc was on its way out but unfortunately nothing can be done just keeping me going on drugs and making sure I'm asleep when my pain rears it ugly head.

Dr who don't like pain drugs
I had surgery just over a year ago - lumber bilateral
discectomy
and laminectomy after three years of pain. I now have the SI and hip pain from pre surgery with tightness across the lower back, facet joint issues have been suggested with injections offered but I've refused for now.

What could be causing my back pain?
I have had a
discectomy
over 16 years ago, but this is not a contributory factor according to my consultant. I am unable to stand erect and have a seemingly permanent stoop, and I can't stand or sit for more than about 10 minutes.

Advice for lower back pain
Hi, I've suffered with lower back pain for a number of years, and 2 months ago I opted for a
Discectomy
for a disc showing a bulge. Whilst I experience stiffness in my back, the main issue is in fact the pressure on the sciatic nerve down my left leg, causing numbness and pain.

Advice for my husband
My husband has gone through the last 8 years with nerve damage to his right leg due to an L5 S1
discectomy
. He is currently on Tramadol and Amitriptyline. He has good days and bad days. He has also very recently been diagnosed with mild proctitus (inflammation of the rectum).
