Goodbye "snoutie"
It is a shame that within our society, there are those who sadly carry a personal bitterness towards others. I, like so many others joined this site so I could hopefully reach out and offer help, support and advice to others by calling upon my own personal experience, medical knowledge, and life age

Liver Disease - Stem Cell Research
I know some of you are interested in the advances in research of Liver disease. It was reported yesterday that the "Promethera’s" liver failure stem cell therapy clears first hurdle. It now begins it's second, much larger phase. This should come as interest to those who suffer with non-alcoholic steatohepatitis

My husband has dilated cardiomyopathy
Hi, my husband was diagnosed in 2013. He had to leave work and now has a pacemaker and defibrillator fitted. The defibrillator shocked him 3 times last week when his heart beat hit 180. I bought a heart monitor for him to wear and today his heart beat went up to 170 for a second when he was sitting down

Inherited Dilated Cardiomyopathy Research - Imperial College, London and Nationwide
I am new to the community. Is anyone taking part as a patient in this research? I am not concerned about my own condition (diagnosed 3 years ago) but I am concerned for my children and grandchildren. How do I volunteer to take part?

Episode of Hepatic Encephalopathy
Hello everyone!! I wrote a message on here a few weeks ago when my dad was diagnosed with this. Everyone was so helpful and at the moment I’m not sure who to turn to as I don’t really have anyone who can answer many questions. So to date my dads cirrhosis has changed from compensating to decompensating
