Day after lap op!
So this is day one of recovery after the op -laparoscopy, drainage of ovarian cysts and
diathermy
to endo, feeling very fragile but okay. However yesterday the consultant came round to have a chat to me about the op but for the life of me I cannot remember what he said!

Bladder endometriosis
I had a urethral dilatation afte misdiagnosis last time, followed by laproscopy and
diathermy
to remove what they could, then 9 months of prostap injections to try and get rid of the patch on the bladder.

AAAAAARRRRGGGGGHHHHHHH!
When I came round the consultant showed me pics and told me extent of endo, but can't really remember what they said (v groggy) - they gave me a simple discharge sheet stating areas and endometriosis found, treated by
diathermy
.

Does a laparoscopy delay your cycle?
Hi there, I had a laparoscopy 2 weeks ago for excision and
diathermy
of moderate infiltrating endo. I was due on my period 5 days ago, but it still hasn't arrived.

Hi, I'm recovering from a bowel resection after recent surgery for my endo and wondered whether anyone else had had this done? Thanks
I've been diagnosed for over ten years, have had previous laps and
diathermy
which worked in the short term. My recent op removed my right Fallopian tube, unstuck all the fused areas, but was complicated by the endo which had gone through my bowle wall causing a stricture.

Smelly stitches?
they managed to get some of it with
diathermy
but the pain is back already so it looks like a 6 month treatment of zoladex is on the cards. Anyhoo, the real question I wanted to ask was did anyone have any awful smells relating to their dissolving stitches?

Hello Ladies, has anyone else experienced depression while on Prostap and if so, how did you deal with it?
After my lap, the surgeon mentioned she'd used
diathermy
to remove a lot of the endo, but some of it is in places where this couldnt safely be done. So she said at my next consultation she'll discuss what to do next, mentioning possible hysterectomy or going back on Prostap.

Don't know what to do..
I was diagnosed with endo April last year and had
diathermy
in July 13 at the same time they inserted the mirena coil. This was removed in November at my post op appt as I have now been bleeding pretty continuously for 7 months, can this make the endo grow again?

Extreme nausea after lap with diathermy
Hi all, I had a laproscopy with
diathermy
5 weeks ago now to remove endo. As soon as I came round I was coughing like crazy as the tube irritated my throat. Since then I have had a lot of pain in my hips, and extreme nausea. I tried to Hoover after 4 weeks recovery and it made me sick.

I have constant bleeding with mirena coil after a year. What should be my next step?
I had a diagnostic laparoscopy in July 2011 where they confirmed endometriosis and treated with
diathermy
. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Hi girls, I'm looking for some reassurance/advice since getting laparoscopy report. X

Can anyone tell me if they had been diagnosed with stage 1 endo but this has got worse over time moving up the stages?
Even with
diathermy
and medicines prescribed to keep it at bay. Or if anyone has been the opposite where treatment has kept control of the stage their endo is at?

First period since laparoscopy
My period started yesterday 10 days after my laparoscopy and
diathermy
for endo and it's the worst pain I've had in years. Is it normal for the first post op period to be this horrific?

Hands up if you hate your GP?
I insisted on a referral, had lappy on 14th and turns out I did have endo which was treated by
diathermy
. Been off work a week and called GP today for a sick note - didn't want to go in and see anyone as I'm feeling really emotional and still so upset about the "in your head" comment.

Lap found no endo - feel like everyone thinks I've made it up
The only other thing I can think of is that I've had
diathermy
on my cervix for pre cancerous cells and my cervix is very scarred. Although I know scar tissue won't hurt itself, could it be adhered to healthy tissue and pull when I have sex?

First period since laparoscopy (to diagnose and have diathermy to endo) worst pain I have ever had. Is this common?
Hi everyone, it has been three/ nearly four weeks since my laparoscopy to diagnose endometriosis and then treat with
diathermy
. Yesterday I literally wanted someone to punch me to knock me out as the pain I was in was indescribable.

Is taking the pill or hormones the only way of stopping endo
good evening I recently had a lap with
diathermy
and cyst removed and was told I had to have some form of contraception as the only way to stop the endo from happening is to stop the periods.
